Great zoo! We were surprised to find that it was so easy to spend the entire day here, from open to close.It was disappointing that so many animals were off display due to construction, the weather, or bird flu concerns. But even despite that, there was so much to see & experience here.The hippo display is unsurprisingly very busy, but we still got to stay a while & see the new baby. Absolutely worth it.The overall atmosphere was really nice too. I love how much bamboo they have growing all over - and they've starting hanging string lights from everything. So many pathways felt like their own little road, distanced from the rest of the park - when in fact they're barely separated.I appreciate how easy it is to buy tickets & parking from your phone. When we arrived there was a long line to purchase tickets, but I was able to buy them on my phone in less than a few minutes & get right in!

One of the best zoo I’ve been so far, I follow this zoo in social media but it was my first time going. We too our infant and spent the whole day from opening to close and didn’t manage to visit all exhibits. Their nursing rooms were clean and cool during a hot day. The nursing room made our trip to this zoo worth it. Went during Father’s Day and they had a special event going on. Overall, amazing zoo and would definitely consider getting their membership.

This is hands down the best zoo I have ever been to! All the animals look so happy and healthy! We purchased tickets online ahead of time and didn't have a wait at all. Parking was 10 dollars, super easy, and you can pay on your phone or have the people assist you on the way out with a card. We can't wait until our next trip here! If you plan to come to Cincinnati I highly recommend trying to plan a day for the zoo!

Cincinnati Zoo & the Festival of Lights. What else can I say but absolutely amazing & beautiful. Just check out the photos, although they do no justice really compared to being there in person. Went on a Sunday evening. Crowds were decent sized yet not so bad that it wasn’t fun. Still able to get good views of everything with just a little bit of patience. Can’t complain about the parking either. Pretty much got in and out with no problem. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have the chance!

The zoo was amazing! There were so many animals and so many cool things along the way. They had a reptile room, and they even had a kid park and everything! The food there was great as well!

Went while the tulips were in bloom. They were so pretty. All of the zoo parking lots were full, so we had to find street parking, but they are in the process of building more parking lots covered by solar panels to both shade the vehicles and supply green energy to the park. It was quite busy, but that's generally to be expected from a nice sunny afternoon in spring with the longer winter we've had. We didn't even try to get on the train around the park because the line was so long. Looking forward to the warmer weather when there are more animals outside and more of the shows are happening.

We decided to take a family trip to visit Fiona that my wife and daughter have been following on social media. This zoo was so clean and well taken care of. The staff was polite and courteous and the animals looked so happy in their well maintained enclosures. Well worth the trip!

I've been to a lot of zoos around the world and I can safely say that this is one of the best I've been to. The diversity of animals and the overall layout of the zoo is excellent. You could easily spend an entire day here, especially if you check out some of their shows. They also have animals here that I've never seen at other zoos before, such as the African wild dogs which were fun to watch. I would recommend getting here as soon as they open, as the parking lot gets busy and fills up quickly.

This is a pretty great zoo. It seemed to have all of the important animals although we never found the bears and really only found one entertaining monkey display. There is shade everywhere. There are lots of pretty good food options. Beware - it's a fairly hilly zoo. If you cover the whole thing you'll certainly get your exercise for the day. There is at least one fantastic playground that all of the younger kids really enjoy. I really liked the kangaroo area. It felt like being in their habitat with them.

Visiting from Chicago and have to say I love this zoo! It’s small, but mighty. And makes you feel like you’re on an adventure to find the other animals.Highly recommend the train. As you get to see and overview of a bunch of the exhibits.Then you can’t forget about Fiona the hippo.

Always love going to the zoo. Everything was clean. The animals were out. Seems like they have done a lot of upgrades, and all the animals have more enrichment items. The line was short on the day we went, so my 3 girls got to feed the giraffes. $4 for 2 pieces of lettuce.

We absolutely LOVE the Festival of Lights at the Zoo. This is the third year in a row, we have gone the night before Thanksgiving. We usually get there about 430 and don’t have any problems parking or getting in to the zoo. It’s definitely my favorite place to see Christmas lights in the Cincinnati area.

We really enjoyed this zoo! The gift shop items were so cute. The exhibits were nice and the animals were happy. We went early on a Sunday before the Holiday light festivities during the first week of December. It wasn't busy most of the day and the weather was good enough for the animals to be out and active. Good signage, and wasn't too much trouble to navigate. Definitely a lot of walking. Food was good. Truly had a great time visiting with my husband and Mom!

What a great zoo quite literally in the middle of the city! It is fun awesome place to go with family & friend's. It's affordable and you can see different types of Animals by walking or they also have train rides.Not only animals they also have a gift shop and different restaurant's.They have festival of lights there every year and it's beautiful. Staff and Crew is nice and respect you, and your family and friends.The membership is nice and affordable too. If you have food stamps the standard fee is $50 just bring your food stamps card and ID. I forget about the other membership prices is easy price's.Mainly The grounds are clean and there are plenty of trees. The landscaping is lush and it's just a great place to walk around and snap some great pictures. There is such a large variety of animals here and the enclosures are beautiful. I don't think there was a single animal that wasn't out.There is so much to see here so bring your walking shoes.

Well maintained, lots of different animals to see, well laid out park, restaurants in the park to get something to eat and I plan on returning. Love it.Parking is a mess. Do not take the last turn google suggests. You'll end up on a dead end street. Google takes you to the exit end of a Parking lot to the zoo. There isn't an entrance there. You will be within eye sight of the park/ zoo. There are Parking lots located in the area you can park in. Expect to pay 10 dollars for Parking.

Really this zoo has come along way. All the upgrades new exhibits and overall attention to detail for the animals. I appreciate the botanical landscaping, the worldly facades on the exhibits and educational opportunities. Staff was great and friendly. I recommend being a member, food and item prices are outrageous (ex 35 bucks for a pizza) but you get a discount if your a member. Parking is reasonably priced I suppose. I was disappointed in several attractions being closed however. Advertising what's coming in spring made me excited, but i still wanted to see those specific animals. I think if attractions are closed, my tickets should be discounted. I'd love to see the zoo expand, more big cats and exotic animals, Pandas ect. Larger exhibits and mire interactions with the animals. Overall however it was a beautiful day and great fun with the family. Can't really complain.

This place is AMAZING!! Literally so many animals will have to come back to see them all! The cool way they all put the animals of prey in a neat walk through exhibit, to the awesome train ride that takes you through the whole park, and the beautiful flamingo family with a new baby bird! Just really awesome- my favorite was personally the feeding of the apes! There is a cool little cave area that lets you feel like you’re WITH these huge animals! Highly recommend this zoo to any family! Don’t forget your dip n dots & fun stuffed zoo animal souvenir!

It felt more like a wildlife haven, designed with the animals and visitors in mind.As parents, the highlight was seeing the joy on our two boys’ faces. The one-of-a-kind experiences with kangaroos and penguins were jaw-droppingly excellent. Growing up with this as my childhood Zoo really set me up with high expectations for what a zoo should bring. I am so glad to see that they have only enhanced for the betterment of the animals and guest experience. We came in town for the holidays and got to see the Festival of Lights which brought such nostalgia. It was very busy but well managed and a good variety of animals were out and about. This is a must see if you are in Cincinnati.

My family & I love the zoo. We go several times a year. There is plenty of parking. I do recommend getting tickets in advance, at times the line can be quite long, especially during Festival of Lights & kids spring breaks. During lunch times there can be long lines for food, so plan accordingly. You can bring your own water & food. There are plenty of tables to sit at, some inside & some outside. They do not force the animals to be outside, so when you visit some may or may not been seen. They are currently working on expanding some areas so there is construction.

This was such an amazing zoo. I loved the layout and that it was right in the middle of the City. Definitely checked out Fiona and the Hippos exhibit. The Manatees were awesome and that bubble viewing window was super cool. It wasn’t a long walk but there was a good flow to the zoo and was incredibly clean. Tons of workers all over the place to answer questions. We went when the tulips were in bloom during spring (so it was a tad chilly) but we would gladly make the day trip back again to check it out during the summer time.

I visited the zoo with my family on spring break. Honestly it was cold and wet when we went and I’ll admit that I haven’t been to a lot of zoos lately. But I wish we would have known what exhibits were going to closed and that most of the snack shops would be closed. It would have made our decision to go or not much easier. I will say that we enjoyed seeing the exhibits and animals that were open and out and about. If I’m ever in Cincinnati again with my family and it’s warm weather we will definitely go back. I think our favorite was Fiona, the hippo it was fun, watching her and the other hippos playing.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden! Though be aware there was a good bit of construction and closed exhibits (common during this off-season; we visited march 3rd), there was still a full day of exhibits, exploring, and adventure.The staff that we interacted with were all very nice, and I think the animals are well taken care of here. Everything looked well maintained and tidy throughout the day. The gift shop is decent. The food is good but obviously more pricey than food outside of the zoo.I definitely plan on returning during a different season when I can see the Insect House, Kangaroos, and a few other things. Overall, it's worth a visit or two!

This is such an awesome place to visit solo, with the family or on a date. The botanical garden part with all the colorful flowers was amazing. The best part of the zoo for me was the hippos. All the kids and adults knew all the hippos' names. I also like how you can walk inside the kangaroo section. I took a photo of every flower they had. I definitely want to do the train ride next visit. You will find every animal at the Cincinnati Zoo. Give yourself like 4 hours or so to visit each animal area. Wear a sunvisor or hat and some sunglasses. Don't forget to check out the gift shop.

We had a great time as a family!We got to see many different animals, and they were closer than other zoos. The place was clean, the layout allows you to complete the visit in about 3 hours, and today they had free Easter candy !!We also loved the tulips in bloom!

This is a beautiful place to visit with tons of the blooming tulips. I came for the hippos but enjoyed the rest of the park as well. It was fun getting to touch a snake. I preferred to walk but it was good that there is a little train for those with limited mobility.

It was just a beautiful day 4/7/24 the park was completely full but what do you expect after a long winter?!? And the last day of spring break. The park is kept clean and easy to follow. Only 4 stars because the bathroom(s) multiple were absolutely filthy

Really fun Casino. You could walk around there for hours just checking out all the musicians memorabilia. So cool being able to see everything so close. Had a few co*cktails at the bar as well as some food. The bartender was very nice and made great suggestions for my meal. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better a fantastic local band took the stage and put on a heck of a show!

We started coming here about 2 months ago and their promotions are amazing. I've had $15 a free slot machine money to play on once a week for the last 2 months and then for March is promotion I get $10 off at any food then you there each week.

Lots of cool rock memorabilia all over the casino. I saw lots of compliments about the layout of the casino, but I thought it was good. I had fun playing blackjack. Staff is friendly and professional. Very bright and clean inside. Traffic in Cincinnati is terrible. It was worth visiting this place.

Let me start by saying I am not a gambler. I am a Hard Rock collector who was taking a close family member out for a nice dinner for his birthday. I did not gamble, so I have nothing to contribute about the gaming. The restaurants and Rock Shop are all on the same level as the casino. There are plenty of very nice restrooms which are kept clean. Plenty of free parking in attached parking garage with elevators. There seemed to be good security. There are several food venues and bars: a classic Hard Rock Cafe, coffee shop, pizza venue, Asian restaurant, and our destination the Council Oak Steak & Seafood. My only disappointment was the relative lack of rock memorabilia. I’ve seen small Hard Rock Cafes with much more memorabilia than this large complex.

We visited for the first time since they changed over to Hard Rock on NYE. Great restyle. The floorplan is much more logical.Wonderful selection of new eating choices. Easily twice as many than when it was Jack"s.The employees were all very friendly and eager to assist in any needs that arose.Memorabilia collection is very interesting as well.

My workplace attended a job fair and we had a wonderful experience here. The staff were kind and welcoming, and I loved the displays throughout the entire casino! Restrooms were clean and the employees were quick to assist if we needed anything at all. The food was great!

My first time here and at a casino in general and I had the BEST experience!!! The staff is very very friendly and they show you where everything is located. Food was amazing and I ended up coming home with a good amount of cash!!! Will most CERTAINLY be coming back regardless of me being 2 hours away🤪🎰

We went to the Hard Rock to see the legendary Beach Boys perform. The show was absolutely amazing! I was impressed with the venue space and surrounding areas! Everything was kept neat and cleaned up. Parking is your choice of valet or you can park free in the parking garage! Û

Great casino! Friendly staff. Loose slots. Nice and smooth dealers at every table. No mistakes, professional pit bosses and hosts. Great food choices. A central bar for quick and easy drinks if you can get away from the tables or don’t utilize the gorgeous and very nice individuals catering to you there. All around a great place to enjoy some fun and possibly hit a nice chunk. If you dont hit it big the pleasant atmosphere and experience helps eliminate your pain significantly if not completely.

Had fun. First time players get a $10 play credit plus $5 food credit. I turned my free play into $45. Sports betting too! Huge poker room. Not smokey. Good casino.

Thought we were going to have a little fun this morning but upon entering the casino one of us had a soda with us and was told we couldn't bring a drink in with us. It's not something that would usually bother us but you can never find anyone who will offer you a drink. Hard Rock unlike the other casinos in the area where you can get your own drink at no charge, wants to charge for drinks while most people are already spending quite a bit of money playing their games.

As food as variety of games its a nice place and the staff is pretty good but as far as the promotional department they're the worse at rating your play and giving you anything. I go there a few times a week and get nothing and went to Horseshoe close to Indianapolis one time and comped me food then sent me several free trips out of town offers plus $300 food/merchandise comp and $675 free bet money. Sure wish Hard Rock would do one tenth of that but doubt it after years of playing there!

Just a mediocre experience. In this new age of casinos in all local areas of the US, setting yourself apart is not hard. Hard Rock Cincinnati had a terrible selection of table games and electronic table games. $5 blackjack with a required $5 side bet is the worst offender. Not to mention all of your tables under $25 were 6:5, shame on you. Craps tables started at $15, which is fine, but your dealers made the experience mediocre. They just did not provide a good customer experience and seemed disinterested in the customers. Electronic table games were $10 minimums, both craps and blackjack (also 6:5...). And video poker pay tables were quite abysmal. Overall, Hard Rock Cincinnati is just another overpriced casino, offering a mediocre selection of games. I can easily drive to Hollywood, not even a 30 minute drive, to receive better games, rules, minimums, and customer service. In fact, that's exactly what we did. One last thing, I matched from Caesar's rewards diamond plus to third highest tier in the unity program. Your tier match program should make me excited or even interested to play in your network... I got $10 slot play and I truly didn't see any benefit for having a higher tier in your program. So I have zero reason to ever return to Hard Rock Cincinnati. As an avid casino goer, it's so easy to find a better experience at your competitors. Do bettor.

I was never a big gambler. I thought that it was all a bunch of hoopla. I definitely feel differently after today I went with my friend and I won a jackpot. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting in the Cincinnati area. There is a little something for everyone. One of my favorite parts was the memorabilia on display left from bands visiting the city. Legendary artists from decades ago. We went to the bar and ordered Long Island iced teas. Shout out to the bartender for making such a delicious drink! The service was excellent and they weren’t very crowded as it was during the day. I had a really great time and I was on my last spin when I hit the jackpot! It really made for a great day! I would check it out if you’re in the area, even if you’re not a gambler. Definitely going back!

The slots are terrible! You play max and your return is very minimal! Been to this casino 4 times,is a nice location,nice decorate, but the gambling is if you might as well just give them a donation! Playing from one end to the other only to get the same results! Won't be back! I go to Derby City and Belterra and always seem to come out better than going in! So I will stay away from this place! Not once did I see or hear a JACKPOT scream !

My husband and I visited for the 1st time in 2+ years to celebrate his birthday. We stayed at the $15 minimum bet Black Jack table most of the evening. We had 2 different dealers. One was Elijah. Elijah was SUPER good! He was everything a patron would want in a dealer; enthusiastic, interactive, helpful, funny.... Then we had Jeffrey. Jeff was complete and total opposite of Elijah. Jeff unfortunately didn't have an ounce of fun personality, wasn't engaging, and in fact would roll his eyes or make a very noticeable sigh when a player would make a move he personally wouldn't have done or didn't agree with. I am not sure what Jeff is going through personally, and I'm always about giving grace. I hope it was just a bad night for him? -But, If Jeff really doesn't like his job at all, he should look for a role not in direct customer service/engagement. Outside of the Black Jack experience, the couple slots we played were fun and we had good pay-outs. The drink prices, SHEESH, this place taxxxes. Stadium big event prices for alcohol. We would go back again to this location, but wouldn't drink next time, and would steer clear of Jeff. 4/5 🌟 🎰

Absolutely love taking my kids here. Such a great place to go and see a wide arrange of sea life. Being able to touch sharks and rays was awesome. Even though you have to schedule a time to start, the place was pretty busy. We still had a blast!!!

I mean wow! They have great pricing clean environment. Food is available along with drinks. Just an amazing place to visit. Little kids big kids and adult all love to visit. I suggest you become a member because one visit is not enough! Nothing like walking under giant sea turtles or through a tank of sharks and getting to touch a stingray. Great cheep family fun with handicap access everywhere. Clean stocked bathrooms available in multiple locations. Live entertainment. Multiple food locations with a variety of food to serve. Grab the family and a water bottle don't forget the sunscreen there is some areas that are exposed to the weather. Plan for the whole day because your not going to want to leave.

Favorite aquarium! The below the water views are amazing. Lots of variety, great touching stations, the stingrays ❤️, friendly staff. We went through twice and will definitely go back.

Amazing exhibit to go to. Saw so many different species, and it was worth it to do. I took my family, and we had a blast and made life-long moments. This is a good aquarium considering it's not by salt water. Totally amazing experience!

This place was awesome! We arrived right when they opened at 10 and left by 11:45, so plan to stay for 1-2 hours. That included a short stop at Sharky cafe (restaurant about 3/4 of the way through). There are several opportunities to touch animals including sting rays, sharks, starfish, etc. For kids there are playgrounds, tunnels to crawl through and more. Animals look well cared for and tanks are clean.

We love to visit Aquariums and Zoos. This aquarium is so neat. We prefer to visit on a weekday, the weekend is quite busy at times. I could watch the fish for hours. I think you could come every day and still see something new each day. A nice way to spend time with a loved one.

Been to the Newport Aquarium dozens of times over the years. Used to be a member but the membership lapsed when I never received a renewal notice. It's always a great learning experience with new critters and habitats. Reasonable admission. Parking is usually very easy.You have to be tolerant and patient because you're likely to encounter a lot of strollers and noisy kids in a confined area but, when I go, I spend the day. Week days are best and things tend to quiet down in the afternoon.Well organized by ecosystem. Many cool and unique species including reptiles, birds and amphibians. Lots of interactive opportunities including cleaner shrimp, rays, sharks and tide pool to name a few.Cafeteria at the midway point has a nice selection of options to choose from. Priced as expected.

We had a great time. Very interactive with animals, which was great for children. Also activities for children. The place was clean. The staff was very pleasant. Answering questions the children had about animals. We ended our vacation here at the last minute. We were going to the zoo but changed our minds. I'm so glad we did.

This aquarium is very nice and as well themed and appointed as a high end theme park. The selection of sea life and number of hands on exhibits is impressive. Anyone young or old should be able to enjoy the aquarium.

Had a great time at the aquarium theres a lot to look at and a lot of knowledge to be had. The restaurant inside was very busy when we where there so we did not go. If you are wanting to do an encounter of any kind get tickets days in advance or just plan on not doing it they will be sold out. The only thing that was a negative for me was the gift shop. We dropped quite a large chunk of change (I'm a sucker for animals and my kids know it) but they don't provide bags. I understand not having plastic bags and having reusable bags but trying to sell them to me after I just bought all the other stuff is annoying.

I have been here a bunch over the last several years. It is always a nice trip. Lots of exhibits, tons of information and a clean environment all around. This time, it all seemed a little less...well...less. Still not a bad experience at all, it just seemed like most of the staff was disengaged and it was as if the wildlife was lessening and the technology is building. VR experiences and virtual tours have replaced true engagement with the people who help care for and conserve these creatures. I know it costs a LOT to keep places like this going - And you can't just go shopping for new exotic animals if one passes away or gets transferred. But it just felt a little lackluster this time. Maybe it was me, or maybe it was just an off day. I would still HIGHLY recommend a visit if you are in the area!

What a cool place! We got through it quicker than expected but we had littles that weren't interested in reading all the great info they had for each tank. We went during the Mermaid exhibit. How cool! I felt like a little kid again! The ladies were super friendly and engaging to kids and adults alike. They even had a sit down photo opportunity with one of them. As well as one mermaid swimming in the sting ray touch pool where you could directly interact with a mermaid, in the water and they'd let the kiddos touch their tail (the sting rays were temporarily unavailable and not in the tank during this time). There was even a 3' tall tunnel in the tank so the kids could get the feeling of swimming underwater with them. In one of the coral reef walk through tunnels you could walk directly under a swimming mermaid. Definitely a unique experience. The highlight for the kids was the shark touch pool. Just make sure to wear short sleeves, the sharks are DEEP in the touch pool and the shark and the sea creature pools are FREEZING cold. Be aware though for tickets, the price fluctuate depending on the day you visit. Some days have longer hours than others and parking isn't free but it's a covered parking garage. The aquarium is in an outdoor shopping mall of sorts so be prepared to walk OUTSIDE from the parking garage to the aquarium even though the parking garage is covered. The aquarium had a cafe inside with surprisingly delicious, hot "fresh" food. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken and it was delicious, even the personal pizza's crust had flavor. The prices were typical for a cafe in an aquarium. It's not cheap. If you don't want to eat there, just outside the entrance to the aquarium there are multiple food options and an ice cream shop, candy shop, etc. And brace yourself for the extensive gift shop that you have to walk through to exit. Definitely worth the stop, just be prepared for the cost, etc.

It was one of the better aquariums I have been to and an excellent layout. Plenty of interactive things for people who are into that. The price was good for the experience I had. I would recommend anybody go here

Clean and well- spaced displays. Staff very knowledgeable and courteous. Great place for kids to learn about our ecosystem in a safe and comfortable environment during the week. Weekends tend to be quite crowded.

We had a great time at the Newport Aquarium!We went back in Decemeber for the Scuba Santa experience. My toddler absolutely loved her first visit! I was surprise on the number of activities for toddlers. There's coloring area, inside playground, and so much more for hands-on learning. As we were leaving, my daughter lost her security blanket, and they were so kind to mail it to us during the holidays. We enjoyed our visit and appreciate the great customer service. We will definitely be back!!

We had one of those amazingly perfect days that parents only get a few times a decade! Lol.We walked across the Purple People Bridge to go to the aquarium.The aquarium did not disappoint. We took our 8yr old twins. They were so excited and engaged throughout! We saw so many species and climates. The length of the stay was just perfect. They were still interested, but ready to go at the end. I feel like it was well worth the cost of admission.We would love to go back!

I took my family while on vacation. We had so much fun. There was so much to see and do at the aquarium. I was very satisfied with how many different creatures there were. I will definitely visit this aquarium again, and I highly recommend anyone in the country to do the same. You will not be disappointed

We came from Indiana to check out Newport aquarium and we loved it! The white alligator was awesome! We also loved all the turtles and it was really clean! There were soooooo many people WITHOUT a mask on. I thought for sure it said online or on a sign that you needed to wear a mask. Either way we were wearing them to protect ourselves and good thing we did! We saw 1 other family with masks on. The employees all had masks but not customers. We really did enjoy our time though! It was worth the money we paid and there were tons of awesome animals there!

Fantastic aquarium, we all had a great time. Some of the fish we had never heard of or seen before. The pricing was appropriate, and all the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend a visit with the family!

We had so much fun going through this aquarium!They have each section themed with the creatures on display. You can tell they care about the well-being of their animals because of the way they have the exhibits set up.It took about 2-2.5 hours to go all the way through with no kids. They have a lot of interactive areas for the kids, plus we got to pet sharks while we were there!We would highly recommend going, and it will be fun for the whole family!

Love this place so much. I've been twice in ten years, the staff and exhibits are wonderful. Tons of fish, huge aquariums you walk through in them, just super cool. Having a cafe halfway through is brilliant too, it's a lot to go through and being able to take a break and grab a bite to eat is nice. We did the penguin encounter as well and it was definitely worth it and supports the conservation efforts with all penguins.

We had such a great time visiting here! Not only is it a great aquarium that has cool tunnels and touch pools, but it is situated in a great plaza where you can spend the whole day! 10/10 recommend!

Great layout and location with being right next to the river, has great views and photo opportunities. It's super kid friendly here, with lots to touch and crawl though especially the stingrays and play equipment. Really great food options and decent seating. Such a fun time!

Lots of interesting displays, tanks, and fun facts. Waaaay too crowded on the weekend! Go during the weekdays!! We parked in the parking garage and were challenged to find signage to return to our car. Finally took the elevator instead of the stairs and that’s how we figured it out, but the elevator parking floor color buttons didn’t match up with where we parked, which was pretty confusing!I ordered discounted tickets ahead through AAA, which was convenient to bypass the lines!

Was fun for date night and is fun for kiddos especially. The cafe inside and the souvenir shop are nice. They have a whole kid section and play area. The Levi area is a beautiful shopping area, there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance as well. The area can be a whole day of activity.

The facility is gorgeous and the animals are clearly well taken care of. There are beautiful displays and wonderful pieces of information as you move through and learn about all types of aquatic life. There are fun digital interactive sections for kids and a fun play area. Probably the best features are the shark and stingray petting tanks. Definitely some special lifetime moments to be had.The only downside to this experience is the cost. At $20-$25 per ticket, it gets spendy fast. There are some experiences that cost extra once inside, and the food court is definitely on the pricier side. Fortunately the petting tanks are included in the price of admission.You must buy your tickets in advance as people are given specific entry times. However, once you enter, you may stay as long as you like. I recommend going Monday through Thursday if you don't like crowds or linesIf you are willing to spend the money, this aquarium is an excellent place to visit

I did a penguin encounter and it was so great! I was the only one in it and had the penguins all to myself! I highly recommend!! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Ticketing is timed and the aquarium tickets are less the further ahead you you purchase. Also entrance to the aquarium is not included with the penguin encounter.

Wow such a fun time! We went during our spring break and had such an amazing time. They had a ton of touch tanks where you could feel starfish and other mollusks. The big tank with the sea turtle and different sharks was incredible cool. The stingray pool was really fun, just make sure you’re not by someone who’s splashing the entire time.

Huge aquarium! We've been to Sealife a few times, this is at least 3-4x the size and sooo much better. We were here over 2 hours and didn't dawdle. My 8 year old loved the albino alligator and the sting ray and shark touch tanks. We also walked across the shark tank on the rope bridge! That was super cool! There were a lot of exotic fish species which was neat to see. The penguins were so cute! The gift shop was big. Highly recommend!

Overall a wonderful time spent here. Lots to see with well themed areas. It took about 2 hours for us to walk through the whole place (when it was not crowded). You have to pay for parking, but it only cost us $6. Also nice area to walk around just outside with views of the river, restaurants and a movie theater.

This place is as close to scuba diving as you can get without getting wet atleast. Really great aquarium! Walking around and eating at a restaurant was equally enjoyable too. You will love the trip! We will be back again!

I’ve been coming to this aquarium since I was a kid and now I take my kiddos. It’s a beautiful place and easy to navigate. We enjoy coming during the school weekdays when it’s much less busy. It’s awesome seeing sharks and sea turtles up close. I would like to see the personal pictures cheaper. Is anyone actually paying $40 per pic because that’s ridiculous. Make it $15 and I would have purchased them. I’d also enjoy more play space for under 3 since my older child likes the play area but my toddler just has to wait on him to finish. The food there is priced reasonable and decent. Overall, we love coming here but please make pictures more affordable!

Overall a nice aquarium, parking can be annoying and it closes a bit early in my opinion. A great variety of fish, frogs, and reptiles however some of the enclosures were empty or didn't have labels for some of the fish in them. Really enjoyed the tank that let shrimp eat dead skin off your hands. Make sure to purchase tickets multiple days in advance, they get quite pricey if you purchase the day of your trip.

This is an amazing place to come with your family and enjoy seeing so many cool creatures my favorite was the shipwreck part. There were these big green eels and a perfect picture opportunity. You get the chance to touch a string ray and a star fish and some other cool things like a shark. So many dome tanks you walk through where all the fish are swimming above you. They even have the best for last walking over the shark bridge at the end of the aquarium right before the gift shop to get a souvenir on your way out.

This may be one of my favorite baseball stadiums. There are many many different areas for groups or families or people in general. There is a huge variety of food and drinks. Great selection of beers and adult drinks. A very nice kids area. Overall there’s something for everyone. Well except maybe this year’s actual Reds baseball team. They can be hard to watch. But the stadium is great.

Hadn’t been to a ballgame in decades. Went to the ballpark and the place is just plain huge and beautiful…well run and everything is well-marked so you can’t get lost. Rain delay offered time to explore all the mind-boggling food and drink options. Reds lost 0-3 to the Orioles but still had fun. A great ballpark in a great city with a great crowd.

This stadium is a love letter to baseball and baseball in Cincinnati. Lots of opportunities for fans to interact, especially families with young children. They even have a playground on the grounds. The $25 all you can eat pass is a pretty good deal if you don’t mind that the hot dogs are not Kahn’s. There is a candy shop. Bars. Many things to list.Don’t let the futility of the team dissuade you from coming here. It’s a really great place to soak in the atmosphere of baseball.

Jim in the right fields stands (Budweiser standing deck) was very helpful with providing info about the area and the park itself. Super friendly and nice. It was our first time at this ball park and we enjoyed having nearby restaurants and bars within walking distance to the field. There are yummy and fun food options inside the park and several places with walk up bars. Several merchandise stores on various levels of the park. It was one of those near 100 degree days and there were plenty of shady spots and fan/misting stations throughout. It's a really nice park and well constructed.

Cleveland fan here! Absolutely loved this stadium. I have now seen 2 games here and both were amazingly fun. Cheap beer before the game, great food deals, and amazing views from anywhere.Both games I went to, the Reds were not having a good year (below .500), yet the stadium was still full of energy and fans still cheering.Some of the best ballpark food I’ve had from the handful of stadiums I’ve visited (Wrigley, PNC, Arizona, Progressive).The stadium location is awesome. Just off the Ohio River, with views of city skyline and that nice breeze from the river. Just a great location. There are soooo many seats at this ballpark too. And the employees were are friendly, helpful, and seemed to love their job! I will definitely be revisiting when I’m in the area. A++++

It took me awhile to get parked. There's 3 different listings on GPS for the parking garage it was by luck and accident that I found where I was supposed to be. Everything else was a relatively pleasant experience. It's easy to navigate. The staff leaves alot to be desired. You have to practically beg for any kind of assistance. The vendors in the stadium are non existent so you have to continually get up and go to the food court. Other than that it's a nice place to bring the family for a game.

Love watching game at this place! Prices are pretty fair compared to other areas of the country. Park in Kentucky and walk over the bridge, and get two nice walks over the Ohio River. Food is pretty good, but not the most diverse options. Go watch some Reds baseball!

My second time going here for a game. Love the atmosphere. It is always maintained really well. The only thing is that it was hard to find more elevators and escalators for the upper levels.

Very fun ballpark. We bought last minute, day-of seats for $40 each. Still an approachable price in a sport where seat prices seem to be skyrocketing at some ballparks. Got a drink outside of the ballpark beforehand which was a fun environment (see video). The food and drink vendors inside the park were all open and had very friendly staff working and seemed to be fully operational.

Wonderful place to watch a ball game. The people that work their are so nice. The ballpark is beautiful and very clean. We went to games on Friday night and Saturday.I believe they do fireworks every Friday night. This was a real impressive show. I recommend staying and watching.Outside the stadium is a great place to hang out after the game.

We came here for a concert and absolutely love this stadium! The food court, concession areas, etc are all really smartly laid out. They have a full bar. I don’t know if this is normal in baseball stadiums, but I thought it was cool! You can get ice cream sundaes in baseball helmets and macOS in a bigger helmet. There are plenty of bathrooms. The seats are typical stadium seats but comfortable. We sat under the covered portion in the lower level -section 134- and the view is great! Whether you’re going to a baseball game or a concert or special event, this is a great location.

We had a great time at the park! Plenty of parking! The park itself was clean spacious and had a lot of fun elements to it. We got the club tickets so it was great view and experience! And we watched a real fun game padres vs reds June 30th!! The store is really expensive and once you got it the store you can’t really go back in … we found out that the hard way! But all in all a great experience!

Got to see Reds vs Mets and it did not disappoint. It was a great game and a great atmosphere. The ballpark is one of the best. My boys loved every bit of it.

As a Cubs fan I have visited several times. Beautiful stadium on the picturesque Ohio River. Stadium workers are super friendly and helpful. Food options are plentiful and very good quality. Pay the extra to park in the garages, reasonable prices with easy in and out. Good job Cincinnati.

Everything you could want in a ballpark experience, and more. The video board crashed during the game at one point, but that didn't detract from the experience. Seats down the line are angled toward home plate, the crowd is boisterous and VERY respectful, honestly I could see myself becoming a Reds fan.The setting of the stadium and overall feel made you feel like you were at a ballpark, and this is really worth a visit. The funny part, in all my time working in baseball, I had never seen the Cincinnati Reds play in person. I've announced for many of their affiliates, but never saw the Reds play in person.Love the steamboat stacks beyond the outfield fence and the homerun celebrations are cool.This is a stadium every baseball fan must visit.

Not being from the Airbnb, Ballpark traveler, this stadium was beyond amazing. What a great way to make you feel like you were in the past, but have lots of modern influences. We loved all the outside things to do there’s a playground for the kids there was like music prices were a little steep. It was a little difficult to find the specific things we were looking for like the helmet nachos that actually had a protein in them nachos cheese and salsa 74. Was disappointed that the souvenir cups were not refillable. We did really like that about a different ballpark. We were frustrated. That parking was a little difficult to figure out. It’s not signed very well, but parking was pretty affordable at $25 a car so we did appreciate that

Had a blast. Pretty stadium. Had a magnificent seat! The staff I met were pleasant and helpful. Met a bunch of rowdy Reds fans that kept me entertained and a couple other young men that were just a pleasure to talk to.Another stadium to check off my bucket list!! Went to our first Reds game not too long ago and we had so much fun. We got seats in the higher section and it was a good choice because we got a stellar view of the game and the gorgeous background of the Ohio River. There were a couple of different beer stands so there was variety which was awesome.

Love going to see a game here. Great food options, friendly staff, fun experience. Parking can be a bit tricky so suggest getting there early to park in one of the lots or garages within a few blocks. Let’s go Redlegs!

We enjoyed ourselves very much. Only issue was it was hard to locate the check in areas as well as the hot chocolate beverage area. With so many people walking around, it would have been helpful to see enlarged high mounted signs describing the different stations. Overall very fun. Will do it again

We had a really fun time the team explained and made announcements on when our session started and ended. We were notified and aware of how our session was going to go by staffing.There was a problem with the hot chocolate machine at both concession stands which was promptly fixed and the ladies working the stand was very nice and very apologetic about the hot chocolate machine malfunction but again the situation was fixed very promptly. Will visit again.

Nice square, but not many options for dining. Vibrant city center used for events and gatherings. Parking can be paid at the machines inside the square or at the actual gate as you exit with your vehicle. We found that out on the spot. July 2023

I revisited this place after 9 years and it’s just amazing and it’s still beautiful as it was before. As I visited this place during winter the water fountain was turned off. There is ice skating setup. Beautiful Christmas tree decor. Stunning night view and great place to hangout with friends.

This December we enjoyed the bumper cars and ice skating on a Monday evening. It was a fun outing. We also experienced Santa and his team rappel down a skyscraper. Such magical memories!

Haven’t skated in ages and very much enjoyed being able to switch between bumper cars and skating. Warming tent was nice and the hot chocolate was delicious. Enjoyed doing it with our adult “children”.

I was only in Fountain Square for a few minutes today, but I enjoyed my time there! There were some beautiful and lively birds walking around. They were friendly and cute. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because a lot of the picnic tables had bird poop on the seats!

One of the coolest parts of Cincinnati is The Tyler Davidson Fountain of Fountain Square. It is a beautiful work of art but it also has such an incredible story to tell, from the artist behind it, and gifting of it to the city, to the meaning of each figure adorning it. The fountain is the focal point of the square, giving it life during the seasons when the water is flowing.The square, Fountain Square, is the "heart" of the city. It is surrounded by hotels, shops, restaurants and is a part of many events such as Taste of Cincinnati, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati and BLINK. In the winter it hosts the holidays with a huge lit tree and an ice skating rink.During the summer there are concerts and dancing around the fountain. Sporting events are cast on the big screen. Downtown workers have lunch there. It's a great gathering spot.It's a "must see" for anyone visiting the city.(*We were on The Square on March 1, 2024 to pick up a bottle of Fountain Square Bourbon. That was the release date for a limited edition bourbon from Cincinnati Distilling and March First Brewing. The water used in the bourbon is from the same water source as the fountain water.)

I visited Fountain Square on a sunny day in October and was immediately impressed by its size and beauty. The square is surrounded by historic buildings and features a variety of seating areas, making it a great place to relax and people-watch. I also enjoyed exploring the nearby shops and restaurants.One of the things I liked most about Fountain Square was its vibrant atmosphere. There was always something going on, whether it was a group of musicians playing on the stage or a crowd of people gathered to watch a street performer. I also appreciated the fact that the square is free and open to the public.Overall, I had a very positive experience at Fountain Square. It is a beautiful and vibrant space that is enjoyed by people of all ages. I would highly recommend visiting Fountain Square if you are ever in Cincinnati.

A wonderful New year eve in the ice-skating here.Very busy place and excellent atmosphere specially with the fireworks at 12:00 🤩🤩🔥🔥I recommend it to anyone visiting Cincinnati

I’m jealous that my home city doesn't have something as incredible as Fountain Square. It is lively and fun. The live music and outdoor bar are top-notch. This was one of my highlights of the trip.

Great location close to hotels and restaurants in downtown Cincinnati.

My brother worked at the Fifth-Third Center for many years and when he did I would visit him for lunch, sometimes dinner. We'd meet right here. It's always a lovely place with a lot surrounding it. During holidays there is ice-skating here. I recommend it to anyone visiting Ohio. Go take a look at all the beauty in downtown Cincinnati. It's so beautiful and full of things to do. Do not take your camera to the hood (Fountain Square area is fine) snapping photos, it can get dangerous. Not speaking from personal experience, just know the rules down there. Such a beautiful museum inside & out! Absolutely loved our time here with the family! So much to see, learn, and experience. We really enjoyed all the exhibits and seeing all the uniqueness that this museum has to offer! We went on a busy weekend day, but it was still a wonderful experience and it didn’t feel crowded due to the sheer size of the place. We really enjoyed our time, and would recommend anyone in the area makes the time to go and experience it themselves!

We had a great time visiting! The building itself is a must see! We spent literally all day on our visit here. The museums are wonderful and had great exhibits. We really enjoyed the traveling Pixar exhibit. It was definitely worth the ticket to experience if you want to know how Pixar creates it's films.

We went here for the wedding reception of my wife’s cousin. What a place for it! We had a great time and especially enjoyed the museum being open during co*cktail time. The kids got to run around and play on the mechanical exhibits and one of my daughters and I got lost in the Ice Age. There were some amazing and well-put-together visuals for adults and kids. As for the wedding reception itself, the place was beautiful, spacious, and very clean and modern. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding.

Such an amazing museum, cannot recommend it enough. The new Lego exhibit is totally worth it for any Lego lover and the children's museum is fantastic. Would love to come back over and over again!

We have passes here and have been around a dozen times. Our kids have a blast in the kids area. Yhe children’s museum does seem meant for younger kids, maybe 10 and younger. Be aware that it can get PACKED. It’s busier more often than not, even on Mondays and Thursdays. The cave exhibit is really cool and fun for all ages as well as the space exhibit.We had a frustrating instance where an employee was following everyone around saying “don’t touch that, don’t walk there, you can’t be there.” When there are no “do not touch signs.” And the areas that can’t be touched are right next to areas that can, it’s very confusing. I emailed the museum and they just said they’d let somebody know.Be aware that it’s a long walk uphill from the parking lot. They do have strollers and electric scooters you can rent inside. There’s also a food court.Omnimax, holocaust exhibit, and temporary exhibits like the Lego exhibit are extra.

I didn’t even realize until after we had come and left, what this place is. I didn’t know it wasn’t a working train station anymore, but a huge museum complex. We didn’t have much time so we just parked to check out the architecture and interior. Just that ALONE was worth it. It is so stunning. We will definitely come back for the museums, but definitely stop by for the beauty of it!

Absolutely blown away by this place! The architecture itself is absolutely gorgeous. Just driving up to it you know you're going to be impressed. There is plenty of parking available ($6). You are greeted by a beautiful fountain at the entrance of the building, it's super relaxing and I suggest (weather permitting) to take a few moments to appreciate it. The main room is absolutely gorgeous, with tiled murals, high ceilings and a ton of windows letting in natural lights. I could go on and on about the building itself, let's just say it's stunning and a beautiful reminder of how gorgeous architecture was. The museum was FANTASTIC! The exhibits have been curated wonderfully, both entertaining for adults and children. I honestly have not been to a better visually pleasing museum. There are a lot of stairs, plenty of ramps and even elevators to get around. We were there for over 2 hours. I can't wait to go back!! Absolutely loved everything.

Really wonderful building. I loved the architecture! I went to the holocaust and Humanities museum! It's was so beautifully done commemorating this tragedy and Cincinnati's part in helping to save the families from it.

Came here with my 22 mo old and my 3.5 year old. Was nervous that they would find any of it interesting and was pleasantly surprised. They LOVED it. The Children’s Museum is excellent. The Art Deco architecture is world class. It’s a really fun place and I’m glad we spent our afternoon here. We had a little over 2 hours and had to run through the last bit. I wish we’d of had more time because our boys were obsessed.

Cincinnati is so lucky to have this historical building in the city. Full of history, it has been well maintained over the years. The fountain out front also adds to its overall presentation from the moment you walk towards the entry.The exhibits and educational films that come and go, keep one coming back again and again.

My 11 year old son and I loved it!! Admission pays for two parts of the museum but the theater and brickology were an extra charge. There was ample parking that was charged when admission is paid. I highly recommend going.

Absolutely stunning museum. Best museum in the entire world. So much to see and do and everything was executed so incredibly well. The Cincinnati miniature cities was the most incredible museum exhibit I have ever seen. The detail. The size. The way it transitioned from daytime to nighttime. Whoever made this should make it for every city. Spent almost 4 hours here. Cannot say enough good things about this museum. Bravo!

Went here for the natural history museum. It was a pretty good museum; lots of neat and interesting exhibits as well as interactive things for the young and young at heart. The IMAX Omnimax was very neat.The food was pretty good too. If nothing else I'd rate it 4 stars, but the museum was almost or actually more slope and ramp than flat surfaces. The main entrance leads to 4 ramps to 3 different levels. There's stairways between those but nothing for wheels. Then, the floor under the entry area ramps down further towards more museum sections. The ice age area is roughly floored to be rock-like, and then continues to be up and down ramps. It's all technically 'accessible' but be forewarned there's much effort involved.

We enjoyed our visit to the Creation Museum. It is a very detailed museum with beautiful exhibits. However, I feel like this is just a one time visit attraction. I would not visit this museum multiple times. The animals were underwhelming, but that make have been due to cold, foggy weather on the day of our visit. The best part was the gardens and the Christmas lights. The lights are beautiful and so are the grounds, even in winter. I can’t imagine how beautiful the gardens must be in the spring and summer.

Loved this place. Very informative and well built. The garden in front of the museum was beautiful. The food and ice cream sold were also good. The museum itself was very informative and realistic. The planetarium and the 4D movie theater is definitely not to be missed. I recommend buying a combo ticket if you plan on visiting this place and the ark encounter which is about 45 minutes drive from here.

We enjoyed the museum and gardens. A lot more reading than I expected. I'm dyslexic so too much reading is overwhelming to me. In the exit survey I recommended they add an audio tour, possibly an app you can use to listen to what's in the exhibits. All of the staff was really friendly. We were there during the 40 days and nights of music and got to see a great band and a very funny Christian comedian.

This place is amazing!! From the very time you step foot on the property you know this place is special. The property is well maintained and very scenic. There is so much to see. Every exhibit is detailed and leaves no doubt that God created man. The 4D movie "6 days" was beyond words. You are right there during each day of God's creation. You feel the wind, the water, the breath of the animals, every part of his majesty. Words are not enough. We ate at the cafe' for lunch. They have a wide assortment of hot and cold items to choose from. As you navigate through each exhibit you will see such detail. We spent over 6 hours reading and watching and did not quite finish. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you Ken Ham for honoring God through this wonderful ministry.

The Creation Museum was fantastic we went to the light exhibit for Christmas and the museum. Parking was easy and close. Plenty of bathrooms. But the definitely have it all laid out really well. The 4D theatre on creation was good too. Great story. Each exhibit was well done. Jesus and the Cross exhibit was a bit of a let down. I was expecting way more... it was only photos on the wall... BUT... It was still impactful to read the texts. I recommend families go. Young Kids are free and we got our family of 8 in at 159 dollars. It was fun. Parking is 15 dollars or 10 at night.

Simply amazing! So much more than what I was expecting! The displays are truly world-class, and the exhibits blend science, history, anthropology, and so much more through the lens of scripture. The experience is absolutely faith-based, but unlike other museums, the Creation Museum is not afraid to present both sides of the story and empower individuals with information to make their own decisions. You can visit best museums in the nation (DC, NY, Chicago, etc) but this truly outshines them all! The live presentations and 4-D video experiences were one of my favorite parts. The botanical gardens, sculpture, zoo, planetarium, and other bonus attractions are also delightful!

This was a great experience for our entire family. It may be a little tougher with younger children only because there is a TON of reading exhibits. Don’t get me wrong, the information is definitely interesting and everything was presented with excellence.Definitely make sure to visit the planetarium and 4d theater. The animal exhibit was unimpressive but the grounds and overall experience was well worth the money.

The creation museum is an absolute must see especially if you are visiting the Ark encounter as well. There is so much to do inside and outside it kept everyone in our family entertained! We were also able to feed our family of five for $28 at the Noah Cafe. I was shocked because where can you feed your family of five for $28, especially being out? Wow.They also have souvenir cups for $19.99 each that have unlimited refills that you can use at the creech museum as well as the Ark encounter.My personal highlight was seeing the dinosaur that had original bones in its skeleton as well as the original skull still intact! Just cool to see something like that.Another highlight for us was the different speakers and activities that they have scheduled throughout the day. We bought the 3-day pass that went between the Ark encounter and the creation museum and every day you come they hand you a schedule of the events of the day which was nice!There's a beautiful botanical garden and lots of areas to walk as well as a small zoo and fun animals to see. We sat outside for awhile and watched people zip line across the property, also a fun thing to see!We bought the 3-day pass for the Ark encounter and Creation museum and ended up going to the creation museum one day and the Ark 2 days. Our kids are 8,6, and 3.5 and this is what they preferred and we were wanting to do that too. So much to see and do, you can easily plan to stay a whole day here.

It's interesting, but not very child friendly or interactive. There is a lot of reading, and the large summer crowds made it difficult. The Planetarium is $9 per movie, or 2 for $14. Line up early to not get stuck in the front and/separated from your group. The movies are short and just okay. The arboretum is beautiful, definitely worth the walk. The moving bridge is so much fun! My advice is to walk this early before it gets too hot. Overall, the museum was very educational and worth visiting!

This is my first visit to the Creation Museum, and I was very impressed with the quality of the exhibits, the friendliness of the staff, the availability of quality food and plentiful clean restrooms. Easy parking too. Some reviewers said you could get through in half a day, but this is not true. You really need to spend the entire day to take in the full experience. There’s so much to look at and a variety of events to attend throughout the day. This is a good family experience with a lot for kids as well. It was a very enjoyable experience and the botanical gardens are lovely. We visited the Creation Museum first, and the Ark Encounter the following day.

The Creation Museum was a wonderful experience. We did the Ark Encounter a few years ago, but did not have time on that trip to also do the Creation Museum so this summer we planned another drive north from Florida to Kentucky specifically for the Creation Museum.I particularly loved the way it explains dinosaurs and the age of the Earth. As well as the views of science from a Creationist standpoint versus and evolutionists view.Fearfully and Wonderfully made was a beautiful exhibit. A bit shorter than I expected, but very well done. I did have some explaining to do about what abortion is to my 9 year old son based on that exhibit.There were several areas of the museum closed off. We were expecting it to be a full day and we were finished with everything in about 4.5 hours. The price is high for adults, but admission for children was free.It’s a hard location to find- a lot of single lane backroads and not many signs. Thankfully the GPS routed us there alright.I give the Creation Museum a 5 star because of the content and how well it was done. I was more impressed with the Ark Encounter and would visit that area again.

The family and I went here as part of our trip to The Ark Encounter. The Creation Museum is a sister attraction of The Ark Encounter. Not only can you learn about the creation of just about every living thing but they also have botanical gardens, a planetarium, petting zoo, shows, a couple of restaurants, gifts shops and more. We spent the whole day here. It was educational and fun.

An extension to the Ark Encounter. This place was phenomenal! So much to see and learn. I suggest visiting here before the Ark to get a better understanding for little ones or new to the experience. From the 4D show to Noah's Cafe, EVERYTHING was amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. 5 STARS!

Wonderful experience and much to learn and ponder about in regards to spirituality. Adults and children will both enjoy this experience. Make sure you have at least a half a day to explore the museum and it’s grounds and more if you want to ride the zip line and sit through all of the video attractions. Food for a single adult (entree, side and drink) will run about $20. Overall is a must see.

Had a wonderful time here. Just happened to visit on Fathers day and their special allowed free entry for Dad's plus kids 10 & under were free. There was so much interesting info to see and read about. Not so great w/an active 2yr old but we made due till the playground and animal expo. Easily spent about 5hrs (not including lunch) and had a great time.

Amazing educational fun filled weekend! Great way to teach your kids and grandkids about who God is and how great he is! A must see as a package with The Ark Museum. As a lifetime charter member, our family comes back often from Canada. The updates they've made over the past while are amazing, and the exhibits have in-depth detail. Give yourself a full day at the Creation Museum to take it all in, and another full day at the Ark Encounter. Plan to take in the live presentations too - there's a lot of great information that they present, and it is 100% relevant to today's culture.

Loved this place! The exhibits are top notch and very informative. We loved the planetarium and 4d theater shows too. Would love to go back again. It's a lot to go thru in one day. Hopefully they improve the zoo area, it was under renovations, because it was lacking. Their sister site's, The Ark Encounter, zoo was great. I highly recommend visiting both and learn the truth about God's Creation.

The Creation Museum is an amazing world class attraction! We went through the museum and stayed for the Christmas lights. I love the botanical gardens. Everything is designed to make you think about the things that matter. It is a must-see for believers but done in a way that will not offend non-believers.

Just came back from visiting the Creation Museum with my 4, 9, 11 year old kids along with my husband and mom and her husband.They have interesting exhibits that speak to all ages along with 4D movies about Creation. It was so cool to see creation so well animated and love how they always tie in God’s purpose and plan for us. They really drive home the Gospel message and Jesus sacrifice and love. My older kids were at good ages for this and really absorbed everything. It’s done at an intelligent level but not overly wordy so the kids can grasp it too.We came probably 15 years ago with no kids and they’ve added and improved so much. Sadly the petting zoo was closed, though, but it was too cold to venture outside anyway.Worth a visit! Prepare to believe!

This is our place we go when a kid finishes up kindergarten in our family I love seeing all of the exhibits my favorite one would probably be the fearfully and wonderfully made one it definitely can change people's perspective on that topic.I also think it's cool that when you walk into the building you immediately see Adam and eve the first humans.Definitely a place you should take your children .This place tells the biblical truth and compares and contrasts the biblical truth with the evolution.This place will change the way that you look at things for the better.You and your family should really check this place out today.

Unique museum presenting the literal biblical timeline of the story of creation. Multiple detailed interpretive displays beginning with the creation of the universe and following the timeline of history from the biblical Christian perspective. The museum & grounds are generally open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, during the holiday season the Christmas Town event is open until 8:30 pm and includes an amazing Christmas light display throughout the gardens surrounding the museum. There are fire pits & snack vendors and limited access to the museum for warming up. A planetarium is available for two different shows at a nominal extra fee. Two additional auditoriums have shows & videos as part of museum admission. Two indoor food vendors and a coffee/ice cream cafe all inside the main museum. There is also a coffee shop inside the welcome center. I would like you to return during growing season, as I can imagine that the botanical garden is quite spectacular in Spring. Parking is convenient to welcome center, so no shuttle needed. Petting zoo is undergoing major construction, so exhibits are limited. Plenty of restrooms throughout.

Love it here! Our kids enjoyed looking at everything and really enjoyed the Christmas lights walk. Spur of the moment decision to come and we are glad we did. We haven't been in almost 10 years. They've updated a lot of things and they've made things easy to walk through. Most things are accessible and signs are played where it's not. Note: steep prices!

The creation museum is a wonderful display of creationist thinking rooted in a biblical worldview. I interacted with a number of people who love God and were so kind that worked there.There were several exhibits that demonstrated with evidence and clarity the biblical worldview of creationism. I hope that more people can come and visit. There was an exhibit all about life and the fact that we as humans are fearfully and wonderfully made.It was colorful and beautifully designed.

This place was hands down awesome. Huge variety of games. Extremely fair food prices. Very very clean. Beautiful decor and lighting. A very large place to enjoy. Easy access to multiple restrooms. A great air filtration. You can't even tell that people smoke inside. We will definitely be coming back

The rooms were good for the price, definitely not the nicest place I've ever stayed but good. We didn't spend that much time at the hotel. I did hear some trains come through during the night. The tracks must not be close to the hotel, but you can hear the whistles blow. It didn't bother me much. I'm a deep sleeper, but I imagine if you are a light sleeper, it may affect your night's sleep. The room was clean. So all and all, a great place for the price. I only gave 4 stars because the lady at the front desk had some attitude when we went down to add some nights to our stay.

Sorry this is so long but it's worth it...Both my adult kids have autism, & for my daughter's 25th birthday, all she wanted was to see the casino (or at least the actual casino entrance) & pavilion. From the time we entered, we were blown away by how beautiful the place was! I love the grand staircase! The map in the ceiling- Wow! Everyone was so nice and courteous! We met a really nice man from security and other employees who were so respectful, patient, and nice and, when they found it it was my daughter's birthday even wished her a happy one! They made my son feel like a gentleman ( his words). He loved meeting people. Everyone was so polite, that he felt very comfortable, even tho this was a new place and he normally gets nervous when we're somewhere new... When we save up some money, we intend to return so she can fulfill her wish to try one of the slots... My son wants to play roulette lol ...Thank you all for giving my daughter the birthday she wanted and giving my son an experience where he could actually enjoy himself! It was the first time in several years that I had been here, and a lot has changed. They no longer have the buffet. We ended up eating at the Barstool Sportsbook Restaurant. I had a Pulled Pork Sandwich, French Fries, Cole Slaw, Pickle, and co*ke Zero. It was delicious! It cost quite a bit, but it was good. We then wandered around the casino, trying to find machines to play. I wanted to get pictures of the casino, but was too caught up in the place. Perhaps next time. I won $6, and probably should have stopped at that. Most of the day, I didn't have much luck. I have my best luck at the quarter machines, but didn't have much luck with them today. My only complaint was that I thought it was supposed to be non smoking, but there were non smoking sections, which weren't very big. Sometimes you could smell smoke.

We came here for my work Christmas party and it was a success. We enjoyed ourselves. The room was beautiful- no problems. The hotel and casino were very pleasant. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming. We played Texas Holdem and the dealer was very helpful and the people at the table were too. People were very nice here. We will be back. We ate breakfast at the coffee shop breakfast buffet the next morning and again it was nice. The girl was sweet and everything was very good. Thanks for great time.

Always love coming to Hollywood and never had a bad experience. Staff is always inviting and lots of selection in games/slots/tables. Wish there was a pool at the hotel. Other than that, all good things to say!

Great time at Hollywood for new years eve! Place was packed, but they had plenty of staff, lots of beer and food easily purchased without much wait. They had a dealer for every single table....all night, and lots of jackpots were being won everywhere you looked!! Thanks to all the management and staff for their hard work on a night that was what I can only believe was a capacity crowd!**Note** my rating for their rooms was entirely based on remarks I heard from guests who were staying. We drove in, after making last minute plans, had a great time. But unfortunately hadn't reserved a room for the holiday eve., so after collecting our winnings we eased on down the road.

First casino I went to and I had a blast with my friends. They've got two levels, one smoking and one not. Blackjack was my favorite game and my friends played the slots with me. The place is beautiful too and if you go to drink, I recommend the dirty bong water. It's very sweet with a bit of sour so perfect for a beginner like me. Even the bathrooms are fancy too! I felt like I was rich even as I spent my last fiver. Definitely recommend this place!

Wow! MY 1st time here and had a great time! People are nice Julia was great! Machines are modern and kept very clean! Free sodas and smoking allowed in some areas. Loved my time here and can't wait to come back here . Hopefully by then I would have earned a free night! Absolutely lovely place

What a great place, first time staying and the room was great. Very nice and clean. The casino is well spread out and very busy a little disappointing that the newest games they only had a couple need more for that amount of people. But all in all a great stay and visit. Classic chic hotel that is a time capsule sharing the eras of today and yesterday. Nice modern decor yet true to its style and homage to an unforgettable period in time. There is also a Casino for your entertainment. The casino is just walking distance from the hotel. Parking spaces and adjacent parking garage also walking distance from the hotel. Comfortable bed and bedding. Nicely decorated rooms. There are no microwaves in the rooms. The only available microwave is located in the main lobby. Nice and friendly staff. Decent prices.

They do allow smoking, which wasn't great for us.Bartenders were generous with pours.Entertainment was good. Lots of great music!We dined at the Final Cut steakhouse. Service was great. Our server ( whose name I think was Christina) was very helpful. She suggested the scallops and they were very good. Hubby had a Caesar salad and a crab cake. Everything is a bit pricey, but portions are huge.Overall, it was a fun overnight. Gambling is not typically our thing, but I'm sure we will be back.

I didn't have a room, service was okay. The girl at the bar across from boogie nights was stand offish. Some people rude who worked there out side of boogie nights. I went 7 years ago and it was a better experience tbh. But boogie nights itself was fun as always. I'm just shocked to see how busy it is now compared to the past!! And happy to see some familiar faces out there still dancing!

Resort fees- for nothing. We were told a room was ready when we arrives an hour early but it would cost $15 for early check in. We said we would wait and asked if they could hold our bags until check in- nope. Room was outdated and worn. Train goes by the window of room and is extremely loud and lays on the whistle at 11:30pm, 2:30 am and 6:30am. So forget getting any sleep. Employees were all very unfreindly in hotel, casino and restaurants. Restaurants were terrible. They have decided that there is no longer any need for any comfort or customer service.

Great place to stay since it's within walking distance of the casino. The only bad thing was the train that was right outside room. You would get woken up all through the night from the train horn. Doubtful anything could be done but that was the only drawback of the stay. Staff was suoer nice and helpful and the rooms were very clean. Plus the construction work at 7 am was a little annoying but now we are just knit picking

This place is so…interesting. Your risk of developing lung cancer increases 10 fold the second you enter the casino area and the hotel room has sh*t smeared under?? The toilet???? And we told the supervisor and she only gave us 40 off the room lol….I contemplated taking a picture but decided I didn’t want literal sh*t…on my phone. I had fun being drunk and losing money though!

I'm giving this experience 2 stars on the whole because we really enjoyed our time at the casino. The drinks were great, the food at the restaurants was good, and the casino had a lot of great machines.That being said, I will not be returning here because of our experience at the hotel. I was enticed by the offer for free rooms, so we stayed two nights: one of those nights we got for free and the second night we had paid for the room. When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted room service around 10 AM, and we said we did. When we got to our room, we ran into the room service individual Hunter and had asked for a few more waters because we have medications to take throughout the day. He repeatedly asked for "an arm and a leg" in exchange for more water. It wasn't until later that we realized he may have been requesting a tip. We always tip room service before we leave, and the experience left a sour taste in our mouths. The next day, we did not receive the room service. We had only two bath towels in the room, and there were three of us. We saw Hunter in the hallway and requested more towels, and the discussion resulted in a bit of arguing. Ultimately we were told that we needed to ask for more towels from the front desk due to hotel policy. We called the front desk and were told there were no towels. Periodically throughout the day, we called and visited the front desk to ask for another towel, but they still didn't have any available. As a result, I stayed there for two nights and was not able to take a shower.Another thing about the room is that there weren't any opaque drapes to close; there was only a sheer white curtain. Outside our window were very bright lights, so we weren't able to sleep very restfully.I'm sorry to have to write a review like this as we wanted to get away and enjoy ourselves, but I hope management might see this and make some improvements.

I'm editing this review to be more specific and less cryptic. A guest was getting aggressively physical after having beer spilled on him, he was threatening and pushing people that weren't even part of the incident, Hollywood threw everyone out. I just think it's bad policy to throw out level headed, non aggressive people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially when they don't fight back, aren't intoxicated and willing to carry a calm conversation about the whole incident. Plus the person who started it by spilling the beer tells security it was their fault and not yours.I said my peace. The rest isn't negative.I will add, the security person who escorted me to my car (on my request because that other guy wanted to physically harm me) was really a nice person. I'd give him 5 stars if I could rate him. That's for Hollywood since I know you read these and you'd like to know how staff is performing. I would have expected him to be more aggressive like the police were but he was actually really good and extremely polite given the situation. That's 1 positive you have going.Man we were having a great time too. I was with 50 other people including 2 of my kids and countless other family members. Hollywood you soured the night for a bunch of us. Haven't been to boogie nights or the casino in a long time. All in all, it's a great place to go to, and my advice is, if something happens, get as far away as quickly as you can because you're getting kicked out if you're near the wrong person. Enjoy and keep safe!I added 2 more stars since we were having a great time before the incident and I did win a fair amount of money.

We had a good first time experience and we even brought a season pass. Since we live in Lexington, KY now, this was one of the few places for skiing within an easily accessible range from us. Obviously, when we lived in NY, there were plenty more mountains and resorts to choose from. With that being said, Perfect North Slopes had a small “mountain” with limited trails. It’s definitely great for beginners and maybe intermediate skiers but I don’t know if it would be as good for experience skiers since the slopes are so limited.Our first experience was on a Saturday, not the best choice since lines were long (especially the board rental lines) but nothing we didn’t foresee. We even got our 7 year old his first ski lesson here and the instructor was so kind. We will definitely be back to try snow tubing.We went back to try snow tubing and it was a much smoother experience. There was still a lot of people since there was a school trip that day and all the lanes were filled. Not sure if they’re always this busy but so far, pretty busy on both trips. The staff was really nice and I’m glad they took the safety seriously. It was nice to see them patient with the kids.

I visited Perfect North Slopes for some snow tubing with the kids over the Christmas holidays. While we did have a good time overall, we were somewhat disappointed with our experience. We purchased the two-hour pass, but due to inconsistent management of the lines, we were only able to enjoy six runs down the slope.The staff seemed to have varying approaches to managing the lanes, with some allowing all lanes to proceed simultaneously, while others restricted it to just one lane at a time. This inconsistency led to long waits and diminished the value of our two-hour pass. Despite the fun we had, we couldn't help but feel let down by this aspect of our visit.

ColorFall is going on now at Perfect North Slopes. It's their first year having it and they did an amazing job. There were so many intricately carved pumpkins 🎃

What an amazing place . This place offers adventure during winter. The tube sliding, skiing etc is super fun.Went with groups of friends and everyone had good time. We plan to visit this place again.Management- the management is very good at keeping all things in check right from ticketing to the associates helping people during the whole adventure. This is safe for kids as well with lot of fun.Parking - The place also offers good parking(free parking) and restaurants.Rentals- You can also rent out jerseys and shoes just in case you miscalculated the cold.

What an operation! From the moment you get your ticket to the time you leave, this is a great place to be. Employees are happy and helpful, staff on the slopes are knowledgeable, food area has nice options with fair prices. Area is clean and well stocked. Rentals are priced well and in good condition. All the runs were well maintained and a ton of fun. For an area that doesn't get a lot of actual snow, this place was on a whole different level than what I was expecting. One thing I didn't enjoy, having black oil dropped onto my jacket from the lift.. could y'all maybe fix that? Had a blast and cannot wait to come back!

2324 season first day report. First of all, kudos to PNS for continuing to make major improvements across the site, for getting open with such little snowmaking cold, keeping season passes affordable, and continuing the bonus days tradition for loyal passholders. It was a rough first day though. I picked up my pass in person with signed hardcopy waiver and picture at the early appreciation day to avoid issues, but was still blocked at the gates. Fortunately there were a lot of personnel there to help out, override, and keep things from jamming completely. They said to see the desk, but I was able to fix it online from the lift by re-signing the waiver digitally from an email link, and uploading a new selfie to the ticket purchase site. The new red lift has some growing pains. It's much slower now for singles due to lots of duos. Unlike orange where you lean on the pre-carpet gates, don't lean on the red gates. It seems to glitch them and often skips a chair load or two killing the additional 4 person throughput. Red also stopped a lot, seemingly for no reason. Orange was way less crowded and operated smoothly for a change. It seems that the grading to the lifts is more uphill so prepare for some pole work until they can make a lot more snow and level things out. It seems the days of skiing right up to the red chair on low crowd nights are over. I'm sure things will improve as the season progresses, but be ready for some kinks in the early season.

Came all the way from Texas. First time snowboarding ever and had a blast even with the light rain (unfortunately I didn’t check the weather before planning my trip) but if you can ride here anywhere better will be easy. Staff and people there were super friendly. Would definitely recommend it for beginners. I did not want to leave🥲, even thinking of moving closer just because how great of a time I had. I recommend you take with you some muscle relaxers/ibuprofen 😅. Also be safe and rent a helmet especially as a beginner but most of all have fun!!!

Perfect place to hang out and stay active with family and friends during winter. They have amazing slopes for people who loves to do skiing or snowboarding. For families with younger kids, snow tubing is the best! We went here and brought young kids and toddlers (2 years old is the youngest) and we did snow tubing for 2 hours. Our kids had so much fun they dont want to leave. We have not seen much snow this winter and our kids are obsessed with playing in the snow so this was the perfect activity for them. We went here After Christmas around 7pm and the crowd is just enough for us not to wait too long. Amazing and fun experience for sure!

I have brought my high school club here for our annual ski trip for 4 years now, and we have a great time each year! Check in for our small group is always a breeze, and the staff at the desk (as well as everyone else) is always so kind and welcoming. We noticed while getting our rentals they had installed new lockers you can use all day with a key code rather than a key. This is a great improvement!My students are all beginner level, and they have so much fun on the trails. The beginners class is so helpful.Today we lucked out and didn’t have to deal with a crowd. We had some light rain, but it didn’t ruin our time skiing! We didn’t have any lines in the lodge or out on the trails.We can’t wait for next year!

What an experience!Never heard of snow tubing before and was really interested to try it.I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back again.We also tried the food. The food was okay but their fries were amazing!If you ever go there, definitely go with a group of friends to enjoy your trip.Had a blast for 2 hours, didn't want to leave!The Perfect North Slopes should be on your to do list.

The snow tubing adventure was effortlessly enjoyable. I am glad we bought the tickets online to avoid long lines. The whole experience was easy and fun! There were two thrilling slopes. Waiting on the higher one was more but worth the fun!Renting equipment was a breeze. They have everything you need and the prices are online. Tubes are included in the price and once the time finishes, you are allowed for one last time. There were multiple cozy fireplaces, which added a warm touch to the experience and much needed with little ones.There was a small cafe that offered good options. The washrooms were also clean and easily accessible.Definitely going again!

The owner takes good care of the slopes here! Weather is what is but they do their best to make sure runs are open. They have fast lifts, new ones, too and it is family friendly and affordable. They even have a DJ on Saturday nights!

Went snow tubing with my daughters and grandkids after Christmas. We had a great time. I think some people don't realize this is not a theme park style ride, but "real world" Environmental conditions were good, but not ideal and it was crowded. We had to wait in line to be admitted to the snow tubing area, but this does not count against your 2 hour window. People were very friendly and there were no issues. The staff is great. We were able to cycle through a ride down the smaller hill about every 10 minutes, and 15-20 minutes down the big hill. Everyone had a lot of fun. And we enjoyed sitting around a fire pit afterward. Highly recommend if you enjoy outdoor, winter activities and not expecting a Disney style theme park ride. Perfect North is a great place to have fun.

My husband and I had an amazing first-time skiing experience at Perfect North Slopes. The place was great, and the beginner ski class instructor was incredibly nice, making our learning process enjoyable. We had a blast and would definitely recommend it to others!

Perfect North was a great time. It’s a great size and the staff is very accommodating. The slopes are great for beginners and experienced skiers/snowboarders. I love every second of it. The routes were well maintained and people generally had room to stay out of, or get out of the way.

Pretty good skiing for Indiana. I came with no expectations, but left impressed. The $10 beginners lesson was excellent. The snow was a little icy, but the slopes were good and I will be back.

Tent camping in Kentucky during an intense summer heat wave had it’s challenges, but the lovely campground made the best of a very sweaty situation!We had a lot of kids in our party and the campground pool was an absolute life saver for adults and children alike. The pool was right next to a small playground, bathrooms and laundry. All simple and small, but well kept.The campground was very family friendly with lots of kids but very quiet once it got dark.We stayed in site 19 and it was perfect. We had room for larger tent and a couple small tents tucked back near the woods under a canopy of mature trees. We had easy access to the trails and the kids enjoyed playing in the woods near our site.There were bugs as to be expected but the elevation is high enough that there are hardly any mosquitos which made sitting outside much more pleasant!The camp store has your basic things like wood and ice and some supplies, but not much. We did have to do a run to town to get a couple things that weren’t available on site.One warning: There is an absolutely lawless band of trash pandas (raccoons) that run this park at night! The are bold and relentless. Anything left out will be dragged into the woods for their enjoyment never to be seen again! Plan on putting everything in your car when you leave or cleaning up a big mess.

Nice State Park Campground designed for children. Took our granddaughter for a two day trip for the purpose of going to see the Ark Encounter. This park is one of very few that has a pool. Nice playground and miniature golf course. We could not play because they closed the store at 5:00. We wanted to play in the evening. They also have a small Bison heard. You have to take a trail to go see them. You will need to bring an extra long hose for water. Shared in-between camp sites. Some sites are not level so you may need extra blocking. Not the best place for retirees but great if you have children.

Beautiful park! The park staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were even able to view the sun from their telescope! The museum has some great things to view as well. Definitely recommend!

So interesting. Great artillery demonstration with people in character. Lots of artifacts and picture boards explaining the history. Easy walk. Mostly outdoors. We had a great day for it. History buffs need to visit. Small museum with more in depth history of the different occupations of the native Indians, the French, British and Americans.

A beautiful and serene place to come and visit, there's a nice playground with updated equipment for the kids. And an even a basketball court further down the play area. The museum is small, but the gift shop has a lot of items to remember your visit by. Seeing the bison is always an experience, especially if you've never seen these magnificent beasts in the wild.

Our Grandsons still talk about our stay here. It was so fun. The playgrounds were really nice. Had a blast at the pool and walking to see the Bison 🦬 was a really nice walk threw the woods on nice wide gravel paths.

Love to visit this park and explore. They have nice trails along with 2 playgrounds, plenty of parking, and picnic areas. Can't wait to go back.

A great place for visitors of all ages!The museum is small but very informative.The loop trail to the salt spring is paved and easy accessible even for strollers or wheelchairs, mostly shaded too. Be warned, the salt spring itself smells like sulphur but that is normal.The trail to the bison (about 10 of them) is gravel and one way in and back out (uphill on your way back out). There is not much shade on this trail but you work your way around the encloser so you can get a great view of the bison wherever they are. They were all right near the fence as you can see!There was very friendly ranger setup right near the bison that was very informative and answered any questions that anyone had.

We stayed at the campground. It was really nice. The park and museum were beautiful. We did find a raccoon when we threw our trash in the dumpster lol.

Great park! Took a day trip specifically to see the Bison and it was well worth the trip. Spent almost a hour just enjoying these magnificent animals!

We stayed at the campground and also checked out the visitor center; and bison area.CAMPGROUND: we were in site 9. We have a 38ft camper. Had to wheel all they way back to the concrete bumper to fit. You must disconnect to fit your tow vehicle. We parked next to our camper. Nice picnic & fire ring. Sites are a bit close together and we could hear kids in a tent next to us easily. NOT REALLY BIG RIG FRIENDLY given the cozy spots and the huge inclined hill with curve coming into the campgrounds itself. Bath house dated. Pool was out of season. Nice it had a laundry facility. No sewer but has dump station. Water hookup was oddly on the opposite side as electric and near the neighboring campsite.VISITOR CENTER: a nice collection to look thru but very small. You’d only need an hour or less to take in everything. The diorama looks like it needs some sprucing up. We walked down to see the bison but they were surveying the paddock and had moved the bison away. Bummer. Trails were maintained.

We stayed at the campground for two days. The campground is not that big but clean and well laid out. The washrooms and showers were clean but need updating. The water hookup at some sites is quite far so make sure to have enough hose. The sites are reserved but there are some walk ins available if you come during the week or off season. I do have to say that the woman in the office must have been having a couple of bad days- I'll leave it at that.Seeing the bison and visiting the museum and gift shop was a nice bonus.

Very nice camp ground! Very clean and all staff were really nice! We had Easter here and the activities for kids were so fun!

Big Bone Lick was a trip that we decided to make three hours away because of the fossil beds, bison, and camping. While the park is kept up, along with the campsite, the base offering is actually pretty limited. I think my expectations were a bit more considering there were supposed dig sites on the grounds. The visitors center is nice, but very small. The diorama behind it was faded and in need of update. The bison were very neat though we didn’t get to see them up close. Trails could use some improvement. Overall a good but not great place, potentially much better if it gets an overhaul.

The family stopped by today to check out the Bison and the museum. We lucked out on this hot day that the Bison were all out eating grass. They were eating along the fence line, which made it a great experience. Standing a couple feet away from such magnificent and powerful creatures was a treat. Lastly, we stopped at the small museum they have near the Bison. It was way more than I expected, lots on display. Behind the building, they have another display with fiberglass animals from the Ice age. Everyone had a fantastic time.

A very nice Kentucky State Park that doesn't require a full day commitment. We were able spend a couple hours the view the visitor center, walk a couple of trails and see the local bison herd. The trails are well marked. The loop trail at the Visitor Center is an easy walk. Going back on a couple of the other trails past the bison can get you some elevation changes, but I consider moderate in difficulty. Overall we hiked about 3 1/2 miles in less than 2 hours. Plenty for what we wanted to do. The visitor center has a lot of information about the history of the site. Well worth a stop in visit. It's not big so 15 to 30 minutes is more than enough time. The staff and rangers were helpful.

This was amazing! I'm so thankful that we were finally able to see this! Very well done, so lifelike! This was well researched and very informative. They answered any question you could think of about the Ark, the animals, what it must have been like, and how could it all have been done. We also saw the virtual encounter that took us back in time to the Ark & the flood! We loved it all! We bought a ticket bundle with the creation museum and saved a little bit. We went to creation museum the day before, then a full day at the ark.

This place was awesome. It just shows how great our God is. Loved the short films that are played on each floor. Must see from bottom to top. Perfect message of truth and hope. I was in awe. The greatness of our fathers love, and mercy and then wrath. What a blessing to have been able to see this. I highly recommend this and the Creation museum package. Go here on the 1st day then the creation on the 2nd. Bring your children and grandchildren and teach them the importance of Noah's Ark. Plant the seed in their hearts that when the Lord is with them, they can do ALL things through Christ whom strengthens them. And if he is for you, can't NOTHING be against them! 🙏🏻💖🙌✝️ A great message and memory to give your children/grandchildren!!

Definitely a trip worth making! Awesome educational exhibit. Amazing visuals arts! Beautiful facility! Clean and well maintained though out! Just gotta find the best days where it’s not as crowded. It can get pretty cramped and tight in some areas.

This experience will forever be a family favorite! We loved getting to see just how big and how amazing the Ark probably was. It genuinely had me thinking about things I've never really considered before. Thank you so much for this recreation of one of the most well known stories of the bible.

It's remarkable that someone built this with modern tools let alone in Noah's Day. Lots of information on each floor. Go prepared to read. Also, there is a lot of walking.They have added things outside. The zoo is great for kids.

It is huge. Built to the specs in the Bible. 4 stories tall but you only see the bottom 3 floors. Easy accessibility as you climb ramps to each floor. You can spend 1 entire day here if you read and watch everything. So much to read and see. We spent 2 hours and quickly went through it all. Kids actually did get bored in the boat but it was very interesting to see everything and seeing how huge the inside boat is. The restaurant on site was good and actually cheap for a buffet at a place like this so I'm glad they're not charging overpriced food prices. Definitely worth a stop even if you don't want to be there all day. Our kids (9) were free as well so it was fine if they did get bored. They did enjoy the small zoo on site though. There weren't very many animals but that's ok.

Great experience and great for family. To see a life size of the biblical account of Noah’s Ark. You don’t realize the scale until you actually face it. The inside display is beautiful and awesome. The work that they had to do, had to be enormously hard but with help of God it was accomplished. We have cranes but they had ways to build which is mind blowing to figure how. Definitely recommend going on a visit. We also plan to see the other museum.

First time visiting the ark and it was AMAZING!!! What a great experience. Very biblical oriented and You're immediately overtaken in awe and admiration of the ark. It was bigger than I thought!!! Gives you a whole different view about how catastrophic the flood was and how much work it took not only to build but to maintain the animals and carry the food. It answers a lot of questions and gives you perspective on possible ways things got done. You walk a lot and it has 3 or 4 levels that gradually go all the way up, there's elevators too and chair you can rent for handicapped people and also strollers for toddlers, please wear comfortable shoes. It takes around 4 to 5 hours seeing everything at a moderate pace The ark gets really packed so try getting there early. We purchased tickets in advance and drove 6 hours but it was well worth it!! I highly recommend the buffet on site and also the 3D experience and petting zoo for children. Lots of souvenirs at the end. I recommend the beverage bottle with unlimited refills as well!We got the ark encounter tickets along with the creation museum and it saved us some money!

Out of timeline experience! Hearing about Noah and the Ark growing up in church is one thing, but to see how massive it really was in person is another! Every member of the staff was exceptionally nice! The zoo was awesome. The buffet was one of the best I've ever had. Listened to and met True Song, the Ark Encounters own Christian group. They were phenomenal! Overall, 20 out of 10 on everything! Try to go on normal days if you don't like crowds. Holiday weeks are slammed. But that's to be expected with something so awesome like this! Can't wait to come back!

Fun and educational for anyone, bring the entire family. The inside displays about the biblical account of the flood, Noah’s family and God’s redemptive plan are creative, interesting, and awe-inspiring. The outdoor zoo was beautifully kept with garden areas to eat or rest. Many interesting programs throughout the day, some live and some multi-media. Easy to enter and exit the attraction and accessible for all. Plenty of reasonable food options, too. $15 car parking fee at the entrance.

This place was amazing and well worth the visit! I loved every moment of the tour. It’s was so cool to imagine what it would of been like to be on the actual ark! The wallaby petting exhibit was a first and fun experience. A worker takes you picture for you for free at the door with the cross. I tried to slip her a 50 but she would not accept it. I donated it to ark. It was that cool.

You must see this place! Pictures don't do justice (though they're helpful). Great experience. Everything was done very well, and I love the attention to detail in every part. It is very well thought out and gradually tells the Bibles story as you go through the Ark. There is plenty of seating to take rests. There are plenty of drink stations and bathrooms. Wasn't too crowded. The books at the gift shop are great. The visual graphics were amazing (kudos to the artist(s)). God food options on-site (a little pricey but worth it).

This was so awesome. It is such a cool thing to see. It wasn't too crowded. Lots of cool information. It does take time and patience to get through everything. There is stuff for all ages. So much fun to go to the zoo and interact with the kangaroos.

The Ark Encounter is a great and wonderful place!My family and I went to this after spending the day before at the creation museum. We didn't think it could get much cooler but it definitely can! This by far was our favorite attraction between the two, It is so huge and inside. It has various museum exhibits as well as a clear display of what the arc could have looked like inside, and how it might have worked.There are bathrooms on every floor. It is about four floors, with the first floor just being the line to get into the building.We went on a very rainy day and there were not a lot of people there which was really good for us. But I saw some of the line cues and it looks like it could get very very long during a hot summer day, as we went in January.

My entire family loved the experience. Very informative and realistic scenes. So real inside that my youngest daughter (4 years old) thought the animals were real. She also asked to go back through it when we were done. We got there at 10:15 and left at 6:20. That was with us going pretty fast through the 3rd floor and about an hour in the restaurant

Nice experience. You have to read a lot to help understand. A nice concept is that they show the biblical and secular versions of the story. There are plans for a 600-seat restaurant on the top deck. That will be awesome. Also, there are several zip lines. Unfortunately, the weather kept us from riding.

Amazing re-creation of Noah’s Ark, built the same size as the Ark from the Bible’s specifications. We spent nearly all day there — we were happy to find bathrooms on every level, snack shops, gift shops, and places to sit and rest. The Zoo was fantastic too! The whole family will enjoy this very well done exhibit and world-renowned attraction. The restaurant was good too, buffet style so something for everyone.

What an awesome experience! Great for all ages. My 2.5 year old loved it, my husband and I loved it, and my parents loved it. Really puts it in perspective from your childhood thought process of a big boat. The ark held all the animals! This ark encounter sure gave you a real life feel for what is believed to be as accurate as possible. Play areas for kids. A zoo connected to it with some interesting animals! Allow the entire day for fun....we had to cut ourselves short unfortunately. We will definitely be back!They offer stroller rental. Only $10!!!! Worth it, especially without the hassle of bringing your own.

It is neat to think about the intricacies and architecture of the ark itself, not something you consider every time you read the story of Noah’s ark. Thought the video clips did a great job building the story and sharing the gospel throughout the exhibit. Loved the details and appreciated the lists of potential animal groupings, how water and food were dispensed, and where/how Noah’s family lived. Lots of history through a biblical worldview.

The family and I went to see the Ark experience today. It was an awesome experience for everyone. The exhibits were done really well, and there were a lot of visuals to keep the boys entertained. We were all blown away with how tall the Ark was. There is also a zoo on site, which was done really well. There is also a buffet at the park which was a great value, the food was really food. We stopped at the playground for an hour or so before leaving. Great activity to do with a family of all ages!

We drove from West Palm Beach , Florida to Kentucky to see this! What an amazing experience we had. I loved the exhibits inside the ark about the facts about the flood, ark, animals and Noah . There was a lot to see. I really enjoyed it. They have gift shops inside and outside the ark. My family loved the outside zoo as well !

This is a once and lifetime experience, and so much to do, but the best part is to learn about God and the great flood and how the Earth is the way it is today! It's 3 floors of an experience you will never forget! And as always friends see you next time!

Drove from Texas and I highly recommend this place. It takes you there in the physical. Gives you wisdom and provides answers to so many questions. The staff is amazing! They truly are in the mindset that they work for GOD and not man. That is rare to see. The food at the buffet was good and that place was well run. We went in late Nov so the crowds weren't as big. Also something I didn't check in advance. They are closed on Sunday so the 3 day pass was important when coupled with the Creation museum. Please try the virtual encounter. It's worth the money. Very cool and we are glad we had the experience.

It was my first time visiting, and I finally saw everything for myself after hearing from others, and it was amazing. There are plenty of things for children to do also. Such an AMAZING experience!!! We flew all the way from TEXAS to see this magnificent ark. We learned so much and EVERYONE was super friendly. The Ararat Ridge Zoo was the perfect animal touch to such an important part of the story.The only negative thing I would say is because the experience is a little pricey the picture should be included with your purchase or NOT as high. $30 for a memorable moment is definitely a little too high. I did purchase several gift shop items so it wasn’t that I was being cheap but it’s pricey for a regular photo.

Really amazing place! It's difficult to describe the shear size of the ark. Even from a distance, it is massive. Once inside, it almost doesn't feel real. The craftsmanship of the timbers, the exhibits and the time that went into making them, the staff...its all a great experience. Outside, the food is great, the VR experience is a blast, and the petting zoo is a great time.The historical and biblical accuracy, along with unknown facts, insights, and research really makes this an experience both educational and fun.It can easily take all day, depending on how much you enjoy reading about each exhibit.Highly recommend.

It is a bit on the expensive side. They didn't want to honor their "senior" discount, even when presented with a government ID without asking. Parts of it are more "preachy" and off subject. For example, why waste space with car crashes when the space could be used with on subject material. It was raining so we couldn't see the zoo, seems like they should do something to cover that area considering the percentage of bad weather days in that area. The real arc wouldn't have had open spaces and probably not the giant ramp. Certainly not something young children would understand. They should make some changes to the parking and shuttle system. If it is raining, getting to the shuttle is a bad situation and since you are already walking a lot, does the parking really need to be another hike? Lighting isn't good for taking pictures due to reflective surfaces and long distances in unlit areas. Lots of up selling going on just about everywhere. A bottle of water is $4 and they don't allow you to bring your own, that isn't good for people with health issues. It is a really nice place to visit, it just needs some re-thinking.

We just wanted to checkout the “Ark” to appreciate the magnitude of this thing - and it did not disappoint. We are Bible readers and we study the Bible, so we know a lot of the sights within the Ark are artists rendering or interpretation of what things “may have looked like” but we didn’t get caught up in all of that…just appreciated seeing the size of this thing and it was interesting to see how the builders interpreted ways Noah and his family created ventilation, stored water according to shelf life, grew their own gardens/vegetables.etc. Lots of things to buy along the way (snacks and gifts) many restrooms, elevators and they rent wheelchairs too. I saw that they have some zip lines and there is a small zoo you can walk through there as well.

We visited the Ark encounter with our family over spring break and had a great time. It was so educational to see how the art could possibly have been built how the animals could possibly have survived Noah in his family was so integrate in all of it. By the way, I never thought about dinosaurs being on the ark.

Great experience, lots to look at. If you're going, plan a whole day to be there. Thay have some good movies playing through out the day in the Answers building. I love the message behind the Ark experience. Someday God will judge the world again. A good reality check on where your heart is.

Amazing experience. Was very interesting, and unlike other museums that get boring from all the reading, they broke up reading with videos, exhibits, and other styles of reading, for example, comic strips that kept my interest. There was so much to do that definitely needs at least 4 hours, but I'd recommend it all day. There is a bus/shuttle that takes you from ticket stand to the Ark. They have a small zoo and an aerial/zip line course for kids and a virtual reality station. I only did the zoo, which was small but free. Will definitely come back with more family next time. I bought a parking pass online, which got me through quicker, but you can purchase at gate as well.

First we were most thankful that the gospel was clearly presented in multiple ways throughout the exhibit.Second, we were impressed by the sheer size of the ark. There was a lot of helpful information given not just about the arc, but about the beginning and events leading up to the flood.There is a note about artistic license, yet I did not see a note about the amount of study done before the beginning of construction.I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed this; some else noted, there seemed to be a lot of commercialism reminiscent of a theme park like Canada Wonderland. There are two massive parking lots, which are served by a number of buses taking you to and from the main entrance. Then there is a labyrinth or maze of rails, like the rides at theme parks, twisting and winding around for those very busy days that they must have to get to the first ramp up to the first level. I think we were fortunate to be there on the school day however, there were a number of school groups or camp groups there making it difficult to enjoy the displays and take good pictures.It is most busy in the mornings, so I recommend going in the afternoon around lunchtime until closing.The buffet food was very excellent. Well cooked. Great variety. Well kept. This place couldn't be more convenient than anything unless it was in your backyard and not to mention it is right on the river and now since Hwy 42 between Warsaw and Marland Dam is open it only takes you about 10 minutes to get there from town for a night on the town, for a concert,fine dining or a great round of golf along with some of the best rooms available in this area for the money. Best value all the way around no matter how much or how long you spend enjoy each and every day

Great location, very well decorated, clean with large spaces and glass ceilings. Machines all worked, the gaming area was clean, well lit, no musty smell (like some places!). Very enjoyable and I doubled my money!

Hadn't been there in years and it has really went down hill! Smelled like smoke on every floor! Actually people were smoking! Old slots, no poker, no people and it was a Saturday night! Won't ever go back!

Always a great place to relax, have fun, or just let loose. I absolutely love this place and the staff is always very friendly and professional. The rooms are always nice, clean, and accommodating. My favorite get away! I can't say enough good things about the Belterra. They've always treated me with respect and generosity. The atmosphere is so welcoming. The flower display in the lobby is always absolutely gorgeous!! Especially during the Christmas season. I have been frequenting the Belterra for 14 years now and plan to continue on for as many years as possible. Thank you Belterra 😊

They don't have valet, bellman, shops are closed and the spa is closed. Used to be able to get comped rooms, but that is not the case any more. Stadium restaurant was good but they were under staffed and our wait was too long for drinks and food. Steak house was great except you needed reservations even for the bar! This used to be our favorite place to go to for years, but we will not be back. There are actual resorts you can go to with all the amenities.

Not sure what happened to this place since the pandemic but it seems the slots have been tightened down tighter than grandmas canning jars. I have had several visits this year and haven’t been able to get any momentum going… I know Belterra “sometimes you have a run of bad luck”… I get that, I have been gambling world wide for 30 years… when you can’t even bang a LINE hit through several thousand dollars on numerous machines it becomes a venue that I won’t be returning to regardless of the “bad luck”. Slots is a negative anticipation event. We all get that. When you get zero play time on a sizable bank roll it feels more like theft as opposed to “negative anticipation”. If this was the first trip this happened it wouldn’t be a major deal but it has been a consistent occurrence since 2020.Buffet gone. Valet gone. Permeated smoke smell everywhere are all reasons this property has lost its former luster. If you can’t have fun in the casino then there really is no reason to pop in at all. Good luck if you’re there. You’ll need it 😉

My wife and I had a date night, overnight stay I should say and it was nice, the room smelled a little like dogs, it wasn't horrible but not great either. Later, we found out the floor they put us on is apparently the only floor they allow pets. I dont know why they would put people without pets on the pet floor... We ate at 19, it was good but the baked potato wasn't baked long enough and the lobster was overcooked. The steak was excellent, and the roasted garlic was a treat. It was a Friday night and the casino wasn't very busy, most of the people there were 70 or older. It was kinda said, a bunch of end of lifers sitting there pushing their retirement away. Also you can smoke everywhere, I used to smoke for 20 years but now I can't stand the smell, they should have a smoking and non-smoking area. The smell in the casino was horrible. They also didn't have a valet service. Weird!! The staff was really nice and seemed to know most of the end of lifers by name. Again said... Over all we had a good time and it was nice to get away from our normal reality for the night. 50/50 if I would recommend to a friend.

Room had barely warm water coming from shower. Sink was hot. Clump of hair in drain floating around as water turned on. Told front desk this morning and just stared at my husband and said you have to let water run....through two people shower?!?? He didn't care and did nothing about it to take note. Normally great room but got older grungy room

The rooms are vary clean. Lots of room, big bathrooms.The casino has a lot of slots. There are a lot of newer games too. This is a great place to stay. You can relax and play all the table games too. Great place to visit.

It looks like a nice hotel just a little outdated. All the floors smelt like cigarettes. The carpet was old. No one came to clean the rooms and I was there for 3 days for my company conference. I found a bed bug in my room. I was bit me in my hair and on my face. They gave me another room and there was a bug in that room too. I found that bug after being in the room for 3 seconds and pulled all the covers back on both beds. I will never return to this nasty place.

I spent my birthday weekend here! Omg the food at 19 was absolutely fantastic and the service all over the facility was A++. The room was large, nice, and the bed/sheets were also clean and luxurious. I miss the lower $ tables, but highly enjoyed the hybrid consoles for Black Jack, Texas hold em, and roulette! Updates to almost all slot machines gave us hours of excitement and playtime. We stopped at Nosh several times for a coffee or sandwich. They also have a sports bar and a sports betting area. I was impressed with staff at every location. Parking was plentiful and the grounds were well maintained. I'll be back soon!!

It was great few years back! Now, payout is really, really low.. they programmed the slot machines to less payout and less bonuses.. also, they turned off the ATM/ cash redemption kiosk so that it doesn't take vouchers.. and the machines doesn't take any vouchers and only accepts cash.. when you leave the machine with the vouchers and try to use it on other games.. it doesn't work. Spend $3K on a machine (single machine) within 1 hour time frame and does not give bonuses... most they would give is 20X of your bet.... ridiculous.. I know it's gambling and taking chances but losing $10K in 1 day and no comps, nothing what so ever... never going back...

The rooms at Belterra are comfortable and stately. I enjoyed my overnight stay and used many of the amenities available at the resort including the pool, casino, and multiple restaurants. I love that the casino has two levels with one offering newer slots and table games and the lower having many older style machines not offered at other casinos. The bar staff was friendly, as well as the servers on the casino floor.

I have been going to this resort since it opened. It does needs some updating in the rooms. Bed super comfortable, food is available, casino wasn't too smokey, but went on off night, check in and check out smooth, staff nice, bathroom is huge. Downfall is they need refrigerator and coffee pot in rooms and they definitely need to bring the buffet back. Will be staying again.

Rooms are nice. The bed was comfy, but the walls were paper thin. You can hear people talking in normal voices as they go down the hallway. I could even hear our neighbor coughing during the night. Restaurant prices are EXORBITANT!! Not great for the money.

Hotel needs some updates, staff was pleasant and helpful. If you come during off season do not expect anything other than 1 dining option to be open during the week. Was here for work and stayed Sunday through Friday, only 1 dining option and 1 quick service food option available. The gift shop wasnt open either ( until I mentioned it ). Initial room had some issues but staff moved me quickly.

It's always a great place to go for gambling. The casino is very clean and well maintained. I had not been there in a few years before this year. I used to go annually on my birthday but the benefits are not as good as they used to be.

Since Boyd gaming took over it has not been the same at the casino. Concerts are great, however waiting in line to get concert ticket is not good business for the casino, would seem to me you do a will call so you can pick up tickets without the line. I would rather have those people in my casino spending money instead of waiting for hours to get tickets. Rooms are always clean and nice, food is great too.

The casino has 3 floors and all the new slot machines. It's big but also cozy. The rooms are some of the nicest and most comfortable around. Though I have not made the Host level, I have had interactions with one (Andrew) and he was very helpful and accommodating. I use my Boyd players card and receive Free Play, food comps and a comped 2 night room stay every other week. Don't know how you could want any more. And just about an hours drive from Louisville it's a nice getaway. Soon to be my #1 favorite casino.

The staff was very nice. The room was nice and clean except the hair in the bathtub. The casino was hot and the atmosphere of the casino was boring. The music is very low and the casino was quiet. Please make sure you don’t talk or laugh in your hotel room the guest will complain. Overall ok getaway but I will not be returning.

We had so much fun getting to go around the Speedway. We had several idiots in the group that ruined it for the rest of us that followed the rules. Next time we do a race track, we will have to have a driver's meeting so this does not happen again.

I went there many times and heartbroken they don't race there now. Racing was always amazing, and stands were always full. I keep telling NASCAR that and will never give up hope of them coming back. If anyone feel the same, please tell them. Google NASCAR headquarters. They are in Daytona.

Our group rented the speedway today. A once in a life time trip. Fun for all of those that participated.

I only went to see the facility. A lot of wasted space. Looked more like a museum than a racetrack. Didn't go to the Petty experience. Even the Marquise sign is faded

What a great track. Never drove hig bank before. Even better than flat track. Made me feel like a Nascar driver!

My coworkers and I signed up for the new model launch repairs/cleaned up on Super Duty trucks parked in the Ky Speedway.

I camped in the infield during the Quaker state 400 NASCAR weekend in July and it was amazing. The facility is like new and the staff are everywhere to help you get around with golf carts or trolleys. The events all day like concerts and vendor displays were fun too and I can’t wait to go back.

Good track and rocking camping/RV areas. I recommend Ponderosa although camping along the backstretch offers an up close and personal experience close to the action. The backstretch area also has power and transportation comes by frequently. Keep in mind that this track does not allow guests to bring alcohol inside.

Loved every moment of the experience! Make sure to get there early so you can tailgate before the race. Parking is free. We had great seats and could see the entire track throughout the race!

Nice track and it was easy getting in and out. The handicapped parking for my dad was on the other side of the track from our seats. Maybe some more shaded areas for people to sit leading up to the race would hurt either. Also not sure why you charge $4 for a bottle of water that cost less than $1. Other than that it was a good experience.

Kentucky speedway is fantastic. Absolutely wonderful to watch a race. Nascar tickets were priced reasonably low for what you get to see. People were very kind. (Staff) and best of all I do not think there is a bad seat in the facility.

Came here for a Valentines Day Dinner.Way over priced.Had to serve ourselves when it came to, drinks, making sure our order was being prepared even though we ordered in advance and had to pay in advance, and reminding them we were ready for each course even dessert.On top of this, no one told us we had to do all of this. We kept waiting for a waiter or waitress. When after 30 min no one came to our table we went and asked questions. So you are your own waiter/waitress.As far as the food, it was fine but nothing to brag about.Also, the cost did not include any type of drink. So after over paying for food, you also had to pay for all drinks. Tea was not even included. There was no water on the table so you had to go get a glass of water yourself every time your glass was empty.I do not recommend this place for Valentines Dinner.

For many of the wines the grapes are from other states but in Kentucky that serves to make them better. The Cabernet Sauvignon was very good; grapes from New York. The food that we had was very good. We had an excellent margherita pizza, one of the best I’ve had. The setting is very nice. It is adjacent to Elk Creek Hunt Club so there is audible skeet shooting.

Got a room at the lodge. My husband paid around $300 dollars for the master suite. No one showed us where it was in the house. We literally had to find it ourselves. The food was gross. No one put enough into their work and it showed. We not be going back.

I drove an hour out of my way to be here when the place opened, I waited 30 minutes and called and no one answered or showed up. The sign said they were open today and so does google!Edit: We used GPS off of my finances iPhone. Here is a picture of the time saying it was open at noon. There were several others in the parking lot as well.Update: This says vineyards and this is apple's maps. I will not be changing my review.

Very cozy place to sample wines and beer. Surprisingly excellent food choices. Atmosphere is as good or better than some in California.

For being a vineyard they have very few wines, service was so so. we were here two years ago for our god daughter’s engagement. They had a good verity of wine, to day they had only one red and two white along with some fruity wines. Tastings we’re over priced for what you got compared to other vineyards within a 50 radius. Would not drive two hours let alone a hour for a pour experience

The wine and food were great. You might want to do a special menu item more often just to have options. Also consider adding a veggie burger sandwich. You can store the veggie burgers frozen and don't have to buy them in large quantities-- one more menu option.

We found this winery on Groupon 5 years ago and fell in love with the surroundings, wine, and seclusion. We go back for an overnight date night once a year and decided to get married there 2 years ago. It's an hour and half from home and it's nice quiet quick getaway. The place itself and wine are great the only compliant I have is the food/menu is definitely lacking. The feel of the place is upscale and I wish the menu reflected that as well however we will continue to celebrate our anniversary there every year as it holds a special place in our hearts 💕

This is a really nice park. We rented the group cabins for several days and had an amazing time. We did some bike riding. The trails were really good. Also some of the group rented kayaks and had a great time. There is a lot of things to do in the park plenty of trails to walk or bike. The cabins we rented I would only rate at about 4 stars, but the kitchen, dining hall, and the activity room was great! They had a nice fire ring as well. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful park! Located off US50 in Indiana, heavily wooded area. Lots to do, great walking trails, picnic and playgrounds, boating and fishing. Booked online my site# 071 was listed as a moderate slope but in my opinion it was steep. Bathrooms were clean, good showers with lots of hot water. Enjoyed my stay here.

Enjoyed the park even in the rain & snow.Sites stayed somewhat dry because they are paved with picnic table on a well packed stones area. Unfortunately the grassy area did end up a bit swampy.Covered bridge was cool & made it to the top of the dam. There is a really nice swimming pool & camp store. Planning on camping there again.

We stay at the campgrounds every labor day weekend.. Just like advertised, they come through..Campground host is totally amazing.. Any problems are quickly and efficiently addressed.. I would recommend this campground to everyone of all ages.. Bathrooms have showers and are usually immaculate.

Great place to camp and enjoy nature.The pool & lake are fun for kids when camping or for day use. The trails we hiked were well maintained & had some great views.

We greatly enjoyed our recent camping trip to Versailles State Park. While it would be fantastic if water hook ups were available at more of the sites, it is a nice little park. You have to be mindful of the raccoons though if you are in a campsite, the backs up to the woods because they will come and steal anything and everything they think they might be able to eat, even if you have a bag of chips sitting next to you while around a fire. The shower houses are clean and well-maintained, and we will definitely return again in the future.

This park looks like fun all year round. They have a nature exhibit in the building across from the pool area right near the lake. So many beautiful stops for nature photos and lots of fishing spots. This is Definitely a place that could be fun for the whole family, team, troop, or just a couple walking around.

As a non-Indiana resident, it cost $9 to enter the state park. I did a half marathon here, and it was gorgeous but very hilly. We saw a few hikers and several families. The campsites looked really nice (as we ran by)! There was a lake and the views were beautiful. The creeks that run through are really nice. The trails are well maintained if a little muddy (it IS spring). I definitely look forward to bringing my kids with me next time!

The campground was quiet and clean. We didn't get to take a mountain bike trail while we were there, but there were quite a few available. Trail 2, the hiking trail, was marked as an easy trail, but towards the end it was steep going down and even harder climbing back up. Other than that we enjoyed camping there!

This place is so clean, peaceful and serene. All the people that make this place possible is friendly and helpful. One of the DNR guys by the name of Rick, AKA Ranger Rick, is very helpful, friendly and was courteous and informative. This is by far one of my favorite campgrounds and I will be coming back! Shout out to all the people that work here and makes this park a special place to come!

We LOVED this park. I am sorry to say, better than Brown County. Not that Brown County isn’t beautiful, Versailles had bigger sites and in our view was just as beautiful without the crowds.

This park is my happy place. It's where I go to kayak and fish and usually I always catch at least one fish every time I go. Which is usually once every few weeks, some times I go once a week. But it's quite. There's lots of wildlife and the scenery is good.

We took the lake and fossil trails. Both were well marked and enjoyable. There were deer everywhere on the fossil trail and we only saw one other group on the trails during the day. It's disappointing to see much of the park shut down. The golf course and skiing are gone, even the frisbee golf course was overgrown and looked abandoned. If you want a quiet day in the park with no one around this place is perfect. One note though, none of the bathrooms were opened.

Beautiful setting but a sadly tired hotel. Very hard for these state park lodges to compete with Disney World, water parks, etc that attract family travel dollars now. Vintage 70s decor. The views of the Ohio River valley are timeless, though.

We just drove through the park. Knowing friends who love camping here, this was was on our list of places to check out- Since we are looking for a wedding venue, we were anxious about seeing what the park had to offer.I’m truly concerned.I would love to see someone come in and show this resort the love it needs!!The trees are covering up the beautiful views. Site 55 is just big enough for a truck, lot isn't big enough for tent, lake front is all grown up. Lot slopes even fire pit slopes. Cancelled reservations, which had a reservation fee, only got back 25%. Park grass all grown up, side walks covered in debris. Looks very neglected. Won't be going back.

More active in summertime.the views are great from the cabins, picnic area, observation deck and while playing disk golf.There is a restaurant and lodge, shelter house, basketball and tennis courts.Campgrounds are nice.There is a large Beach with a shower House Have many boat ramps,but lake is lowered in winter time.The old house and family cemetery easy walk.

I am sitting on the back porch of the cabin I am staying in for the weekend. Any sounds of nature are drowned out by DJ music coming from across the lake, it is quite loud and disruptive. I hope they are enjoying themselves, Sometimes relaxing can be pretty stressful.Rooms were mostly good. The electrical outlets need replacing as the bedroom lamp keeps coming unplugged and I think that is mold that is see on the baseboards in the bathroom. The kitchen has a ‘funky’ mystery smell. Glad we brought the Lysol.

My husband and I stopped here for the afternoon just to check the park out and relax. Neither of us had ever visited the park before. I thought it seemed pretty nice overall.We walked around for a little bit, but truly only stayed about 15 minutes. Why, you ask? One word.Mosquitoes.The mosquitoes were absolutely ridiculous. They found us within a few minutes of walking around and would not leave us alone. And these weren't normal mosquitoes. They were big, wasp-looking, you can feel them when they land on you, type of mosquitoes. So gross.By the time we made it back to the car, we had both been bit a few times and I had killed at least 6 of them. 2 of them found their way into the car as we were leaving as well and I had to take care of them. Ugh. It was not good.Needless to say, I am no longer interested in visiting this park until the mosquitoes are gone for the year. Perhaps we'll come back in late fall.

We stayed at the campground at site 19. We were right behind the bath house. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was very quiet. Lots of wildlife was visible from our site. It was very nice. All spots have their own picnic table and nice fire pit. Will definitely be back.

Everything was great during my stay. The service desk people were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was old, but nice and clean. No microwave, but not a big deal for me for just one night. The breakfast was fantastic! Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take the breakfast to the room, but the food had justified the inconvenience in full. And dear management, please, let your staff accept the tips!

Location, hiking, and front desk service (Sam and Chloie) outstanding.Pool and spa have no water and need repair. Restaurant in Lodge also closed for repair. Water main burst on Xmas Eve 2022. Many lodge rooms also under renovation for the same reason. Very disappointing that the website made no mention of this

Overall not a terrible place but by no means great or even good for that matter. The price for amenities is insane. There are cabins that are wildly overpriced, half the lodge isn't useable, the pool hasn’t been operational in at least 2 years and the mosquitoes are out of control and obviously not being treated. I won’t be taking my family back but again, it’s not awful. There’s just way too many cheaper options with more amenities and things to do.

The cabin was minimally cleaned. I had to sweep the main room and wipe dried food out of one of the chairs, there were dead moths behind the bathroom door. However, once those two tasks were cleaned up everything else was great. When explained to front desk staff they were very quick to notate. I did see work crews working on other cabins while staying, so maintenence is a priority.

Had an amazing 5 day stay here in the campground! The park is now a favorite. Camp Hosts Jimmy and Rita make you feel right at home! Plenty of level sites but its wise to check a visual before booking as some sites are more suitable for tent camping then backing an rv into. This campground is small, scenic, and very well maintained. We'll be coming back here soon.

I am so appalled by the roads in the park. I have truly loved this park my entire life, and this is absolutely unacceptable. It’s also unbelievable. I have never seen the roads in this park fixed in decades. Their so called repairs are pathetic. There are no excuses for this whatsoever. What are you doing with the tax payers money, refusing to fix our park’s roads? Decades later and nothing! It’s practically impossible to drive up this hill, without feeling like you need to drive in the middle of the lanes. The side of the road is so bad it makes you think you’re going to fall off the cliff. It’s terrifying driving on it, period! Do something for goodness sakes, this is beyond as bad as it gets. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This beautiful, and monumental park deserves so much better!

I stayed in a cabin at General Butler State Resort Park in August of 2023. The temperature outside was almost 100, but my cabin was cool and comfortable. I also hike the Butler Lake Trail during my stay and took some beautiful photos!

Husband and I are currently embarking on another adventure, and we've made a delightful stop at General Butler State Resort Park Campground, specifically at site 42. This spot, complete with water, electricity, and sewage connections, was perfect for us as we needed to refresh and recharge. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful upon our arrival, kindly directing us to our designated site and even offering their assistance if any issues arose. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the heartwarming encounter with a deer as we entered the park. It was a truly magical experience that will forever hold a special place in our memories.

We got a cabin for my friends and I and when we got there we realized that they had moved our cabin without telling us, we needed an ADA compliant cabin and they moved us to one that was not. They brought us a ramp but it was a bit wobbly and not a solid solution so I ended up leaving my power chair in the car and bringing my manual chair inside. The room was supposed to sleep four but there was only one bed and not even a couch, so we used our own cots and air mattresses. The restaurant on site is great, the employees were nice and very apologetic, I'd go again as long as we get the cabin we ordered next time

It's a great place to just swing by for a bit of Mother nature. Always enjoy my visits. Either for a long stay or just a visit, it's a beautiful place.

We were told the restaurant was good but when we went, there were no signs, nothing to help us find a restaurant. We went into the hotel and asked for directions but the lady there was not helpful so we ate elsewhere and it was delicious and I won't bother trying this restaurant again.

Hard to find anything bad to say. Lee, our guide on the Old Taylor Tour, was our best guide of the trip. His knowledge and insight was fantastic. The gift shop has so much great merchandise it’s hard to determine what to take home. The tasting was great and I loved the bourbon ball and Freddie’s root beer with Bourbon cream combo. My harshest critique is that beyond the rotation releases you aren’t getting anything special here. But the grounds are perfect. The expansion will bring twice as much bourbon to the market eventually. This is the Mecca and a must stop. So much history.

This Place was absolutely amazing. We absolutely loved coming here and it was an amazing experience. We were lucky to have Freddy as our tour guide. He was incredible and made our experience perfect. If you are interested in getting good bourbon, you gotta stand in line early in the morning each day. We got in line at 8am for two days in a row and got Blantons and Eagle Rare.

Phenomenal experience!! Our Trace Tour with Jimmy C was educational but light hearted enough that we could easily joke around and/or ask questions. The distillery itself is massive, but so well maintained! I wish I could bottle the smell in the air.Staff in the gift shop were friendly, personable, and beyond helpful. Additionally, the gift shop had such a great array of everything! I ended up spending way more than I intended, but self restraint kept me from spending what I wanted to... so we'll call this balance.We had a great time and learned even more about bourbon than anticipated. We can't wait for a visit back to Buffalo Trace the next time we are in Kentucky!

Had a phenomenal experience on the tour and tasting. Our tour guide was informative and I really enjoyed seeing the distillery and the amazing scenery surrounding the facility.The tasting did feel a little bit rushed, probably lasting no more than 15 minutes or so. But all of the samples were delicious, including the surprisingly smooth vodka and the really delicious root beer.The gift shop is gigantic, and were we fortunate enough to get in early and grab a bottle of EH Taylor.Overall, highly recommend the tour and tasting.

Visited Buffalo Trace Distillery with some friends for a bachelor party. What a great experience. If you enjoy bourbon, you will enjoy visiting this distillery. Our tour guide, Eugene, was knowledgeable and professional. He showed us some great spots around the grounds and then led the tasting after the tour. Lots of interesting history here at Buffalo Trace. Even got to see some Pappy Van Winkle and Eagle Rare.

Historic facility, iconic brand, popular destination to purchase bourbon. Free tour was nice and keep in mind you are limited to one bottle per brand per person. Apparently there is a bourbon shortage.The tour focuses quite a bit on the history. In fact about 25 minutes of the 70 minute tour was spent on the oral history. There is a short walk around the grounds, a stop in the barrel receiving dock, a short walk into one of the barrel aging warehouses, a quick stop in the Blantons bottling room, and finally a tasting room stop. It was an average tour compared to other breweries or distilleries visited. The tour was rather limited in geography--no access to the brewing room or basically any views of how the booze is made--that was disappointing.Note--Eagle Rare sells out within an hour of opening on most days. I don't understand why they limit it so much. You'll find alcoholics, hipsters, and old-timers jogging from the parking lot to the gift store when it opens to make sure they secure their ONE bottle. Very strange. Good for Buffalo Trace for building a brand loyalty though.Hat tip to Todd for an entertaining tour.

Let me start off by saying that they offer sampling even if you are not doing a tour. I feel this is key when it comes to new whiskeys you haven't tried. The staff is very nice and informative. The sample process is also very well structured. The gift shop is very large. We purched a ton. Definitely will return someday!

This was a magical experience! You cannot miss this one of a kind tour and it's totally free. The engineering that goes into how they make their whiskeys is phenomenal and mind-blowing. The experience of the tour guides is second to none and you will learn things you never thought of. I'm a fan of American Bourbon and this tour sets everything I believe in stone. Not to mention the whiskeys that will be available to you in the tasting and in the gift shop. It's worth multiple returns!!

One of the best free things I've ever done. All though i enjoy bourbon, i definitely didn't know much about it. During this tour, you learned pretty much everything about the process and the history of the distillery over the years. I am a buffalo trace fan and it was interesting tasting the difference between a $30 dollar bottle and a much higher priced bottle. I would definitely do it again.

Very organized! So you go in and park, then go to the visitor center/check in to get your IDs scanned and a wrist band. Then you walk into the actual gift shop and tasting room. There’s 2 stories, the upper level has the tasting rooms you go to after the tour and where you can taste of several bourbons (no charge), and then a small tasting station in the first floor for 1 special bourbon (I tasted the Traveler). Pretty cool! Ask them why the buildings and trees are black!!!!

We loved hearing the stories and learning the history about all the brands. Patrick was an EXCELLENT tour guide and tasting leader. Beautiful campus and gift shop! I don’t remember their names but the lady from Hungary that checked us in for our tour and the lady who checked us out in the gift shop… both super friendly and excellent as well.The only negative was the lack of variety in the bourbon available for purchase.We had a fabulous overall experience and will be back!

Great tour, tasting, and visit. It is great to see progress on the expansion. We visited on a Monday and didn't have a reservation for a tour or tasting. They were able to fit us in even though everything was unavailable online. They now have a tasting room above the gift shop, so it is worth just showing up and doing what you can. The earlier you arrive, the better the chance to score some bottles from the gift shop.

I will return again someday. We enjoyed every minute of it. I love how they belief in their product. They give free tours with a free tasting at the end. They do so well that their tours are often booked solid. Make reservations before you go.

Visited the famous Buffalo Trace distillery on my recent trip to KY. The grounds are awesome! If you’re looking for some of the allocated bottles I’d suggest getting there early. The gift shop is amazing and the fact that they don’t charge for the tour is also an added plus. We did the “hard hat” tour, it was a neat behind the scenes experience. Make sure to try a bourbon ball along with some Freddie’s root beer and bourbon cream. A must stop piece of American history!

We loved our first ever visit to this beautiful historic distillery we went 2 more days!Arboretum tour, The trace tour & a gift shop only day. Got there at gift shop opening time each day and we’re able to purchase our “quota” of the special bottle offering of the day. A complimentary tasting even comes with visiting the gift shop if you’re not scheduled for a tour! Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and really seem to enjoy what they do. Leave time in your day to wonder the grounds, especially the gardens which are open to the public. There’s even a playground in that area for kids. The woodworker was very informative and it was fun to see his shop. We ate at Firehouse Sandwich shop for lunch & it was delicious. We truly enjoyed each day!

Took the Old Taylor Tour and the Hard Hat Tour and they are fantastic experiences! The tour guides are very informative and give excellent information about the distillery and the history of the property and the bourbon made there. The Gift Shop provides great selections at unrivaled prices. The staff are all very nice and provide a nice feel all over the campus.

Buffalo Trace has very deeps roots in bourbon history, which you can learn during their free tours. It is a very neat place to visit, with people visiting from all around the globe. Scheduling a tour is a bit of a nightmare, because all of the tour slots are full months in advance. I recommend going on the waitlist for whichever date you want, because that’s how I was able to get in. You are able to visit the distillery without a tour and just visit the gift shop, which I don’t like because bourbon resellers come early in the morning and purchase the limited bottles they set out before the tour people can get to them. I believe that purchasing these bottles should be limited to touring customers. The gift shop has a lot of near BT products as well. There is a free bourbon tasting area, however, if you’re in a tour you cannot do a tasting since there is a free tasting at the end of the tour. I was fine with that until I realize both tastings had different offerings so I wasn’t able to taste all of the bourbons. Our tour guide was great and taught us everything about the BT history and showed us around some remarkable buildings. I recommend this place if you want to learn more about bourbon history and see how it’s made, but try to plan ahead and arrive early if you want a Blanton’s or EH Taylor bottle.

What an amazing place, our tour guide was Michael, he was very knowledgeable and led a great tour. For free you can't beat it, wish we had got there early so I could have got some E.H. Taylor was they were sold out by time we got there. If your coming to try and get some good hard to find bourbon them you better show up early.

My wife and I took the 2 hour hard hat tour on our anniversary. Extremely well done and informative. We absolutely loved this distillery and its history. Our tour guide was amazing and the scenery was beautiful. Definitely recommend a stop at buffalo trace

Even of you don't drink it's still fun to walk around and enjoy the history. If you're like me and don't drink, you can still be part of the tasting and they just give you the delicious root beer. Took a tour of this candy factory where they sell Bourbon Balls and found it to be very interesting. They still make the Bourbon Balls using the same equipment that they used back in the 1800. They also sell a large assortment different candies. Here is a couple pictures but they wouldn’t let me take pictures of the candy making machines. Also the factory only has workers Monday thru Thursday so if you plan your tour do it on one of these days.

It was near closing time. There was no chance of a tour at our visit, but I will surely book ahead of time for another visit. The literature was very interesting. They give out samples of adult truffles (buffalo trace bourbon), and they sell boo-boo truffles, which was my choice. Other choices are available. The artifacts are interesting to look at. Just make sure not to park in the area for the VFW. For fun, get pictures with the horse statue and the old motorized horse.

The bourbon balls are to die for! The place is quite quaint and we got to get a tour So I must say we didn't barely spend any time in the production room which is where the majority of stuff happens and I really wanted to see...... That was the one and only downside to which is completely covered up once you try a piece of chocolate.

I might come back tomorrow and probably buy a box of mini chocolate to pass out at work. I need to try one first, to find out if I like the taste and texture. I mentioned to them that I am afraid the chocolate might melt because I'm going to the Arboretum at UK, and they were so nice to give me a block of ice. Good thing I always travel with a cooler, and there's an ice machine at the hotel. I am pretty sure they will make it home in perfect condition! Please support small businesses!

Great little random stop as we were coming through Kentucky… we love chocolate so we definitely had to stop and check it out! A lot of history and tons a chocolates to choose from along with some other candies! Can’t wait to taste the chocolates we got, wasn’t much just enough to enjoy the experience.

Stopped by this candy store right after it opened at 10am and was greeted so kindly. The lady working the store was very enthusiastic when helping pick out all our treats. She gave everyone in the store free samples and helped me pick out way too many chocolates.The store also has an amazing history and is still family owned to this day.I urge you to stop by and support this business!

We always go to Rebecca Ruth Candy Store in downtown Frankfort, but always arrive too late to join in on a tour. This past weekend, we were able to to take the tour, and boy was it informative! I had no idea about the history of RR Chocolate, and it’s impressive how long the tradition has survived through so many hurdles. The candy (especially the bourbon balls) is amazing! We will continue to make our monthly visits!

The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and offered us a free sample bourbon ball for our first visit. It was tasty. The shop was well organized and quaint with a good variety of chocolates, candies, souvenirs and other unique finds. They have flavors of cotton candy I have not see anywhere else.

What a quaint place! My fiancé will always remember his first experience and bourbon balls. We just left and had a wonderful visit. Instantly devoured our Puffamels in the car. ❤️❤️❤️

Overall had a great experience. Visited the day before the governors inauguration so there was a ton going on. Beautiful building. Would recommend the guided tour cuz I spent the first part just walking around aimlessly and didn't get much history that way.

A visit to the Kentucky State Capital is a must. Not only can you meet with your state legislators, you can watch them from the gallery, see the dolls of the First Ladies and the quilt squares made for each county. The architecture is amazing and the Capital rotunda is a sight to behold. I would go early because parking fills up fast. There is a cafeteria in the Annex building where all the legislators office are as well.

The staff is super nice and the lady who did the tour was very kind and did a great job showing us the important rooms and details and was always giving us a lot of information. The capitol building is huge and has such a great architecture. A visit is definitely worth it!

Drive around only. Came on a Saturday afternoon so nothing was open for tours. The grounds are beautiful & it made me proud to be a Kentuckian. There are some really neat art installations/ sculptures and the landscaping itself has several areas that are living sculptures. And then.. as we drove around and discovered the ROSE GARDEN! It was all in bloom and just amazing. I have never seen so many different colors & varieties of Roses in one spot. Established in 1961 you can tell whoever has been in charge of cultivating this garden oven the years has to love the roses and what they are doing.. size wise its not that big.. but that just makes it even more special to me. Simply lovely.

Impressive Capitol Building and grounds. Parked, walked right in, signed in with security as was allowed to roam the building (State Troopers and staff were all friendly).At the time of our visit it was obvious some TLC was needed but renovations have been implemented since. The House was in session so we took seats in the gallery to watch for a short time, then we strolled around observing architectural wonders and historical displays. Statues of notable people (Lincoln!) are located under the rotunda but we noticed empty spaces (Jeff Davis had been moved. BLM and Gov. Beshear had made their wishes known and that's too bad. History shouldn't be denied.)Still, everyone showed Kentucky hospitality and we enjoyed our visit. I recommend.

I have been to around 15 State Capitols, this was one was really nice. My favorite part is it had the most fully functioning library out of all of them! The Librarian staff was so insightful about the history of the building and Kentucky. As well as being able to compare her own Capitol building to other state capitals. She was able to suggest a lovely spot for breakfast Andy's which was an absolutely delicious experience. So overall my trip through Kentucky in Louisville and Frankfort and a few other stops was very nice. I suggest everybody stop at the state capitol building.

Finished a tour with Mr.Lee Watts from Patriot Point and I am so glad we took our kids for the capital tour. We really want to come back when it gets warmer. It's so important we show our kids the place where their elected officials work hard to keep our state great. We learned so much about the Christian heritage in our history as a state something very important to my family and I.

We have visited enough capitols to compare and prefer the ones that actually tell us about the state history. This Kentucky State Capitol does. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time go in, but walked around this place and it was stunning. The building's exterior and grounds well kept.

This is a really good place to go see a piece of Kentucky history! The building is really interesting so definitely get a tour. Outside the building is fun to see as well. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make a painting for the Governor's Derby poster!

Decided to try and make it to all 50 state capital buildings as they are complete marvels of engineering and building. The Kentucky capital marks my 8th, and it was quite impressive as the others. It had a very picturesque grounds, and immaculate inside of it. Luckily it was Tuesday and not much was going on. A few other visitors there.

It is a beautiful building with a lot of history. Construction started in 1905 and was finished at 1909. Granite and marble inside was from, Vermont, Georgia, and India. honestly, I wouldn’t enjoyed it as much if George and Linda hadn’t been there, they were delightful. Good people!I WOULD RECOMMEND

The building is under construction and was closed the day I arrived, but I can imagine how beautiful the building is. The surrounding environment looks good even though it is covered with little snow. Will return in the future.

We’re working on visiting all 50 State Capital buildings and Kentucky’s was truly beautiful! Grand, pristine with tons of history and interesting facts, this was one of our favorite Capital tours. Our tour guide Scott Johnson was great, and shared tons of interesting stories about the building. 5 out of 5 ⭐️!

Very friendly staff. Excellent interior with a high quality marble floors. Visitors need to be careful as there are a lot of marble steps all around. If you focus on taking photos, there is a chance you slip down . Got a chance to walk into both House and Senete. Great feeling to feel the place where people's representatives discuss and make laws.

Beautiful building and amazing staff! They answered all our questions and took time to show us some construction photos. Will be back!

When I went there, I was at an event, which to begin with is nice, and there was a lot to see and do. It was so cool.

Great stop for those who enjoy learning the history behind a place. This place had so many amazing sites to see that we're complimented by the knowledgeable tour guide. Whole tour is about 45 minutes to an hour and well worth the visit.

I've explored the exterior of the property for decades, but this was my visit time touring the inside. It was a fun experience. Our guide, Derek, only enhanced our afternoon! Definitely worth checking out when visiting town (not a big time investment).

I enjoyed this visit more than times in the past. The guide was very knowledgeable. She made the information a story and as we walked through each room she kept our attention. Very friendly and respectful!

The guide was quirky, knowledgeable, and fun. It took about an hour. There was a metal folding chair placed in some rooms if one needed to sit a moment. You will have to go up and down stairs. The spiral staircase was my favorite thing.

We have been to Lanier many times, but each time we seem to learn something new. Our tour guide, Derek, was knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. Great tour and learning experience! Our group included adults, teenagers and a 9 year old. Enjoyed by all!

I have toured a lot of historic homes and this tour was fantastic. Nothing roped off, no rooms skipped over, photography welcomed. Jared was an amazing guide! He kept it interesting and definitely knew the home, the people associated with it, as well as the history of Madison in general. Senior discount over age 60.

What an amazing adventure!! We loved learning about the history of the mansion while enjoying the knowledge and enthusiasm of Jarod our tour guide! It was great! History comes alive when you take the time to learn in a place like this with a guide who is passionate, entertaining and personable.

This was a great tour! Our guide did a great job! We went on Sunday. It said open 10-5pm. Then it had specific tour times. We went across the street to the historical society to get tickets for the next tour. It took about 45 min. Great stories and Information.

This one is a must see. The mansion is very well kept and very well presented. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, in fact all the staff we interacted with was very friendly. If you are into looking at historical homes this is definitely a top contender.

Beautiful place. We went on a weekday end of June 2023 and it was practically deserted. No rain for a little bit, so the trails were very dry. There are many trails to choose from and many different falls to see. Hiking back up the mountain was a chore. And watch out for the poison ivy everywhere!There is a tunnel that we didn't go through. It was very cool at the opening, but looked very dark...Part of one trail runs parallel to the road, so you have to listen to cars and music from the cars occasionally.Another trail is the stream bed, walking over the rocks. Again, things were really dry, so you don't have to walk in the water.We saw deer and a fawn. Tons of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Very clean park with lots of interesting trails.

Love hiking here. I've been on a few trails, and I suggest trail 7 for beginners. The tunnel is definitely worth the trek, too. i personally love trail 6 route. So many different waterfalls to explore.

Clifty Falls State Park is a decent state park to visit and spend a few hours hiking. It is not overwhelming in size and offers a nice day hike option. Hikers will enjoy the challenge of the elevation changes. For the Midwest this SP offers some good trails. As of 2024 there must have been some work done to enhance trail identification. I thought the trails were well marked with numbers and colored blazes. There are also numerous posts with maps and the trail highlighted in color to match the trail blaze. The trail conditions are what I would consider rugged. Again it looks like work has been done to improve some trail conditions. We visited in the spring when leaves have not yet come out. So the geological formations and waterfalls were fairly easy to see. I don't know what you would see in the summer with all of the growth. There just doesn't seem to be thought put into viewing access for the waterfalls that should be the stars of the hike. I'll also note that the trails are really segments that run between locations (like parking lots). There is a way to loop around the park (6 - 7 mile loop) with many significant ups & downs to make for a nice hiking workout. But many will hike out and back along the same paths. Park maps are available to help provide guidance. The Nature Center is smaller but still very informative. Easy to spend 30 minutes in there. Add another 30 minutes if you want to see the fire tower. Like other reviews, I'll add that there is typically a fee to enter the park (amount based upon IN state residency). If you are spending the whole day it doesn't seem so bad. But if you don't have 4 or 5 hours to spend here I would bypass the park.

We did several trails. Trail 7 was probably my favorite. We stayed at the Inn which let us get an early start. Some of the trails don't have railings, so keep an eye on your littles.Nice park! We enjoyed seeing a lot of people and their dogs!

Top notch park with everything you can imagine to include a hotel, pool, camping spots and the highlight are the incredible hiking trails that can highlight a vacation or even day trip to the park. I felt the Tunnel trail was the best followed by trail number 7 that takes you to the Namesake Falls Clifty Falls. You will enjoy yourself even if there is not a lot of water fueling the several falls in the park.

Some of the trails here get pretty busy, on account of how popular the park is. Maps are readily available and there are bathrooms and a recreational area.I find not too many folks care to walk the creek (trail 2), due to the fact that you have to walk almost 4 miles of other trails to access it. I'm here to tell you, it's totally worth it, especially if you're a geology enthusiast. Bring water, or lifestraws and snacks, but for the love of keeping nature natural, carry out your darn trash!If you want to cool off for a bit, try the tunnel, which is not open certain times of year, due to bats! You'll want headlamps/ a flashlight or (what works best for me), your phone flashlight. Go see some stuff and have fun!

Great place for a good relaxing getaway. Rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable. Everyone was friendly. Restaurant in the inn has some unusual hours for dinner, they close at 8pm. Trails are well maintained, park overall is one of my favorites. Also this park is one of the only pet friendly parks.

Well kept trails, beautiful waterfalls. The trails are fairly well marked, but you’ll definitely want a map. Pay attention to which says rugged vs moderate, etc. Beautiful space, dog friendly trails. Moderate trails are basically boardwalks through the woods so fine for kids, rugged is more difficult for small children and would not recommend trail 2 for kids.Campground was good too, nice shower and bathroom facilities. Small sites but perfect for tents and small campers.

Great Park!!! Super Clean!!! Well taken care of. Wonderful hiking trails. My wife and I went here on a cold day in November and had the place to ourselves. The natural beauty there is amazing. Great for hiking.

I went here on April 8 2024 to see the eclipse. It was cool. But not as cool as the trails I went on and seen so many beautiful waterfalls. It was a great view everywhere and the trails are just right for walking and seeing something I'll remember for the rest of my life. Make sure you go there!

There is an entrance fee of $7 if you’re instate and $9 if you’re out of state. This park has several beautiful outlooks and an awesome nature center showcasing several types of live snakes, reptiles and birds. Watch out for snakes on the trails! We crossed one while hiking a very well traveled path. There are some great hammock spots near the creek bed.

Hiked trails 7, 5 and part of 2 on our trip here. Trails are rugged and the scenery is amazing. Lots of sloping terrain. The tunnel was really neat. The park has a lot of picnic areas. I suggest hiking shoes for the rugged trails and bug repellent. Paths are narrow at times and can be muddy and slick.

I'm from MO up here for work and wanted to see as many park as I could. Definitely a great experience! Nice trails. Gorgeous water falls. Definitely recommend as a must see for any out of towner like myself. Or even any locals that havnt been.

I loved hiking on this trail today, it is full of mysterious and cool animals you would may never find but here. Trail 7 and 5 is the best. You get to go down a staircase and climb on rocks to touch the water of the water fall. On trail 5 there is a really long, mysterious cave/tunnel. Theirs is lots of funny spiders, bats, and mice/rats. If you are scared of critters like these then don’t go on trail 5, go on trail 7. Trail 7 has awesome waterfalls and views. It’ll be a great place to have a nature photo shoot in front of a waterfall.

The park is beautiful but if you are hoping to see actual waterfalls it is best to plan your trip in the Spring for Falls or Winter for Frozen Falls. We visited in September and they were barely a trickle of water. Be sure to bring a flash light/head lamp if you plan to do the Tunnel Falls Trail as you will be walking through a cave that is wet, slippery, and DARK. The Tunnel is off limits to hikers Nov 1 - April 30 to protect hibernating bats.The trails are not clearly marked and even with the park map it is easy to get turned around and not know what trail you are actually on. We had a lot of "do you know what trail we are on" encounters with other hikers during our visit. Even hikers using Trail Apps on their phones weren't sure what trails they were on.All in all the park is beautiful, you will enjoy your time outdoors and the ruggedness level is up to you.. and your ability to stay on the correct trail LOL. Am definitely planning a Spring visit to see the falls.

This park is a really neat place to spend a fall afternoon. We took our 2 kids to explore and got some really neat pictures and some really great views. It had been a while since it rained last so the Falls weren't flowing a bunch but it was still fun. This park is rmvery well maintained too with the stairs, bridges and roads being in great shape.

We stayed at the Clifty Inn Lodge during their 2 for 1 special in February 2024. It’s been several years since we have been here but the staff that runs the lodge were all very friendly. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the Ohio River and watch an occasional barge go up and down the river and I thought about the stories of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer (except their story was on the Mississippi River). We ate at the lodge twice. Their food is always well prepared. We visited several of their beautiful waterfalls and walked trails that were a moderate one as far as being rough, a rough trail, and an extremely rough trail. We could tell that we haven’t done this type of hiking for sometime. We were pretty tired! Back to the lodge. It is well appointed, several sitting or “great rooms” with fireplaces, study, and a few little nooks. Beautiful pictures are hanging everywhere and we always try to find the duplicate pictures! One of the nicest things is meeting new people either at the restaurant, in one of the great rooms or out and about. People we run into usually like to share where we’re all from, how long we’re staying, and our faith in God. It seems a lot of people make a spiritual connection with being out in God’s creation. We love to go in to the downtown area of Madison when we go but unfortunately most businesses downtown are usually only open Thursday through Sunday. It is a quaint little town and it has a lot of businesses outside of town on the main routes and they probably have taken away a lot of the down town businesses. Overall such a beautiful Lodge to visit, plenty to do and with the 2 for 1 special it makes it a lot more affordable.

Staying at the Inn within the SP for 4 nights, I purchased the breakfast package. Comfortable, quiet accommodation offering full meals, build your own fire with provided wood, sunset views, pool, and hot tub for soreness after hiking trails that range from moderate to very rugged changes in elevations. The best time to have water in the falls is spring and fall or after a good rain. This park sits beside the quaint town of Madison, Indiana, along the Ohio River. 3 wineries, several breweries, tons of historic Edwardian homes still in use, and they will have power boat races around the July 4th holiday. Great music vibe as well on most every Friday night, even in the off-season of winter.

1500 Acres of sheer Cliffs and plunging waterfalls wooded areas with many trails from easy to rugged. Try hiking the trails in the Clifty Canyon Nature Preserve. December watching with nesting species like the Louisiana water thrush Great Crested Flycatcher scarlet and summer tanagers

I have been here several times, each time presented a different view of the park. It has never been a disappointment. Water was high because of the weather, so rocks were slick. Waterfalls, 22 in all, when weather is like this, however 4 are mainly advertised and pretty much run year around. Some of them you can see with a short hike, others for great pictures, require a little more effort and distance. I think I hiked about 8.5 miles and saw 3 waterfalls. If you plan to go into the creek bed trails, be prepared. If you're a novice, this is especially true for you. Take water with you. In summer, be prepared to see snakes, in fall just before cave closure, might see bats. Park is beautiful and provides multiple facets of scenery. Additionally, there is a cave, but due to the potential spread of white nose syndrome, it's off limits until, I think, March. I will come back again. If you'd like to stay in the park there are campsites both primitive and for campers as well as a lodge.

Loved visiting the all the falls, and the trails vary from easy to hard. The campground has many different types of sites, but it is pretty open with not much tree cover. Overall a great state park with beautiful views and a great location close to Madison!

A couple of fun little day hikes here. The waterfalls and natural rock formations are a ton of fun to find. Had a fun experience and would definitely go back.

A must do during your Bourbon country visit. Plan to spend some time at this place, enjoy a tour and DO NOT MISS the 'straight from the barrel' tasting. The selection of spirits is limited as a relatively young distillery. However, their products made with bloody butcher corn are unique. I highly recommend their Vodka and Bourbon.

Beautiful property. Great story. We did the barrel tasting and we thought the tour was just right. Not too long and not too taxing, especially for patrons that already had consumed a beverage or two! Their pizza is fantastic! … And the beverages aren’t too shabby either! 🙂 The entire staff was friendly and informative. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Went on the barrel tasting tour. What a wonderful experience. Great overview of the history of this distillery as well as what makes them so distinct. The guide was excellent overall, an engaging and funny storyteller, and she responded to people's questions very well. I can't wait to go back.

The best kept secret on the way to the Outlets! Their food from the cafe is INCREDIBLE. Literally the best pretzels and fried pickles we’ve ever had. Huge portion for reasonable price. Warm environment and knowledgeable staff, we’ll never pass this place up when we come through in the future.

We really didn't know what to expect, but ended up having a great time there! The tastings were pretty good, and the grounds were awesome. We truly enjoyed all the games at the back, including cornhole, Basketball, and shuffleboard just to name a few.

Highly Recommend the Barrel Tasting. Jeptha Creed was a fantastic place. The entire Crew was extremely nice. Kat was the best tour guide, we have had on the trail . No one comes close to her personality & knowledge.

Had a wonderful experience with the tasting. Took a bourbon mixology class here. Very informative and a lot of fun. Staff were super friendly. Came back a second time to shop and found out about their outdoor patio with heat and games. Highly recommend for a good time with drinks, snacks, games and nice people!

We did the distillery tour for my nephew's 50th birthday celebration. It was great. Stan was our guide and he was the best! It was interesting to learn about the Bloody Butcher corn that they use. It was sweet getting to meet their rodent control staff! The tasting that came with the tour was great. My favorite was the Red, White, and Blue.

My husband planned a visit for us today at Jeptha Creed Distillery and we went on the one hour tour. Our guide, Hannah, was very knowledgeable, personable, and did a great job showing us the process. Beautiful facility, great drinks, and overall wonderful time.

First off - let me say that if you haven't given Jeptha Creed a chance for whatever reason , you need to rethink. Their bourbons, whiskeys, and brandy may not be for everyone, but they are as excellent as anything in the craft market these days. Excellent attention to craftsmanship and production, competent and creative distillery team, and an amazing armosphere of fun, family, and friendship greet you at the door. Next, I have to say the service at Jeptha Creed does it better than some of the "benchmark" distilleries I have been to. My wife and I came in on a whim, were greeted by two different staff members, and invited to ask about what Jeptha Creed had to offer for our visit. Then the young lady at the reception station waved down Scott, a tasting guide and Bourbon Steward, who squeezed us into a tasting flight. Scott was a phenomenal host for the tasting!! Knowledgeable and engaging and very much focused on breaking down the history and reasons for he uses of their specific grains and allowed the patrons every effort to truly taste the spirits on their own and without any suggestive influence. All in all, it was a top-notch experience! Oh, and being a veteran, they give veteran discounts and even have a veteran barrel to sign that is used in their Red White and Blue Bourbon Whiskey - of which I purchased a bottle. Highly recommend and will definitely return!**Returned with a group from work, and they continued to impress. Nailed it on all points, and Michelle, our tour guide, was fun and informative as well as engaging and friendly. Great tour, great tastes and an excellent experience...again!!

Scott was an excellent tour guide! He was informative and entertaining. I spoke to him after the tour and asked for recommendations for other distilleries in the area and he suggested Whiskey Thief Distillery which was fun also. A good tour guide can make it break a tour, regardless of the location. Scott definitely is an asset for Jeptha Creek Distillery and the main reason I will be back there next time I visit Kentucky.

I really like the outlet mall. It always gives you this sense of 'it is okay to buy' (or it might be just me). The areas are always clean, there is a good variety of stores; always have good sales going on. They decorate so pretty for each holiday/activities/special day. The bathrooms were cleaned the last time I visit and the waiting area inside of the woman's bathroom is very comfortable. I will like to see new stores thought and for some reason the times that I have been inside the food court it is always empty even if there are a lot of shoppers around.

Thanksgiving Black Friday!!!!We arrived at 7 o'clock in the morning, the parking lot was full. A lot of people came out to shop this year. It was very cold that day. Although there were many people, it was a happy day ! Thank you everyone who works that day.

The Outlet Shoppes offer a pleasant experience in an easily walkable layout. With most of the premium outlet brands represented, it is easy to pick up wardrobe updates at discount prices in one easy stop. Frequent sales offer the opportunity for upgraded products while saving dollars. The Shoppes offer a peaceful and safe shopping environment with lots of adequate parking easily accessible.

I made a special trip here for my first time since it is well over 3 hrs drive for me. I went for 3 shops only. The first one was for shoes. The outlet was tiny and didn’t have my size. The second was closed with no explanation posted on the door. The third was the dog treat store. It was open and I bought treats and that’s why I am giving 2 stars rather than one. This is place has the smallest selections of stores of any outlet center I’ve ever been to. I won’t be back without more stores moving in.

Really liked it. Clean and well maintained. My favorite place was Ghirardelli chocolate 🍫. They have some good prices. It's just right off the interstate. Easy in and out parking 🅿.

Went with the family to do a little early holiday shopping but there was nothing early about it! The holidays are already in full swing and it's so great to be outside in nature; it feels like an element that indoor malls lacked. Special shout out to the staff at Loft because I accidentally left a shopping bag there and they went out of their way to get it back for me!

Visiting from NC and stopped to kill time before we could check in our hotel. We were so surprised by how awesome these shops were. We got back to school clothes, trip souvenirs, and even did some early Christmas shopping since we found such great deals. I gave the Coach store its own review as the staff were amazing. It was GREAT!!!

We love the Simpsonville outlet malls. We enjoyed eating lunch at Jade Garden while we were here. We ordered the spicy bourbon chicken and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious!

We always go when there are great deals to check out. They have nice christmas decorations set up for December.

Some stores are good. Some stores are bad. Some stores aren't even needed in an outlet mall. Shop here or don't.I am glad we have an outlet mall close. Now we don't have to go to Indy or Georgia for outlet shopping.The only thing I'd suggest about going here... Go with an attitude that you're not buying anything. Sometimes you'll luck upon a few good deals but a large majority of the stores say they're having deals but you'll look around and realize... They don't have any deals.

My husband surprised me with this trip. The shops which were many, the employees were friendly and helpful. The prices are great. If you are looking for a place to shop and pretty likely find something for someone in your life or you need a shopping day for yourself. This place is where to go.The only thing I would improve on is the food court. The selections of food wasn't good, place was so small, no seats for the amount of food traffic they get everyday.

Concrete Kingdom!!! We love the different yard items we find in this store. The one at the outlets has more of a selection. My mom wanted another yard wind mill and they did not disappoint. We ended up buying the 🦉 one for our yard. Our neighbors love to stop and watch the display. I can watch them all day. I’m sure we’ll be back again.

Can’t go through Kentucky without doing a bourbon tasting! This place was small but put together well. Got to taste, tour the distilling and bottling areas. Host was very knowledgeable and was willing to answer most of your questions. If you want intimate bourbon experience, this is the way to go.

One of the best tasting experiences on the bourbon trail. Our guide loved bourbon and loved telling the story of their product.I know Jefferson’s isn’t for everyone, but they love their craft here.

What a fantastic little jewel in the crown of the bourbon trail this place is. It’s a small facility packed with love and great people. Oh and the bourbon is delicious too. Patty was our tour guide and was by far the best guide we have ever had the pleasure to experience. She is knowledgeable, fun, and full of energy. What an invigorating breath of fresh air she is. I’m SO happy we took this tour! They offer discounts for first responders and veterans, but even at full price, the $12 cost of admission is well worth it. Our designated driver was able to tour at no cost. Thank you KAD for an experience that was outstanding!

Really enjoyed this tour and tasting. There were just 4 of us and our guide, Laura. She made the history really live and was great with our silly questions. This was the first tour where we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tasted. Hadn’t tried Jeffersons before and it was delicious. Even the lowest tier was smooth and nuanced. Would highly recommend this tour and tasting.

Over the years my wife and I have done a number of tours including some famous ones in Ireland, but we actually found this one to be the most interesting one we have ever been on. Wes was our tour guide and he provided a great deal of interesting information in a very understanding and enjoyable way. The time just flew by. We got to see some interesting stages of distilling that we had not really been able to experience. The tasting was extremely well done.

Great experience. Much different feel than some of the larger experiences in the area, and it is the first contract distillery I’ve visited. Everyone was so friendly from the time you walked in to walking through the distillery and chatting with the people working. Dee was informative, and you could tell she was passionate about their story. It almost felt as they were welcoming you into their home. Great selection of bourbons at the end of the tour.

This was a really cool place. We had visited several of the larger distilleries so this one felt quite homey and personable. We spent the most amount of money buying from here. We can’t find some of there selection near us and some is only sold in Kentucky. It’s really cool to hear how they collaborate with small distilleries in the area. Oh and they have a shark you can track named Jefferson!!!

We started day 2 of our bourbon trail tours with Patti. It has been the best tour of our weekend! She was hilarious, informative, and made this such a fun morning. Definitely the best tour we’ve been on.

Had a great experience tasting thé bourbon at this distillery. Beautiful, well organized and the host is very good at explaining. My favorite bourbon from this distillery is the Ocean, the one aged at sea.Highly recommended for a nice tasting experience.

Tour was short and sweet, but gave a lot of info! We were in and out in a hour. Tom was our tour guide and he was great! There was a bourbon tasting at the end. Though I didn’t partake, I heard the bourbon was good and strong. The tour price is cheaper than other distilleries because it’s not in the heart of downtown.

We went on the tour with a group of friends and a tasting. The tour was very informative about the origins of the company, I just wish it was a little more informative about the making of the products. The bourbon tasting was pretty cool and interesting. We had a nice time.

We have really loved staying here in our trailer! The rangers, camp hosts and other guests are lovely 😊 We accidentally booked our stay in electricity only but it’s been fine! Water pumps near by and hot showers so dry camping has been easy. The hikes are lovely and we have really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. Rabbits, deer, turtles and even some raccoons! Great base for exploring Louisville and I’d highly recommend staying here!!

One of the best kept secrets in Southern Indiana. This beautiful park with its campgrounds, boat launch, picnic areas, and folklore should entice outdoor lovers to come and take a hike on the beautiful trails. I lucked upon my favorite spot to watch boaters, skiers, and people enjoying activities on the Ohio River. Beautiful setting with benches provided offered a scenic view of the Ohio River. The Staff were friendly and informative. There is a small fee to get into the park, but most if not all Indiana State Parks have a fee.Note: Fall (Autumn) when the leaves peak will make this location a must see.

Very nice state park! Lots of trails to walk and roads to bike on. We stayed in the campground and it was great. Our site was large wooded and secluded. We had mostly friendly neighbors. Only negative is the shower house which had push bottom showers that didn't run for very long and you couldn't adjust the temperature which I thought was too hot.

It's a very great state park. You get to oversee into Kentucky and see the 265 Bridge in Prospect. The Ohio River is a very important source of revenue and transportation of goods and both states benefit greatly from that. Pretty park and a lot of trails to walk on.

Had a lovely time hiking and walking Trail 6 today! 2 moms + 1 preteen and 5 teens. Slightly rugged climb and ending with a leisurely walk. The fall colors were beautiful and the trickling waterfall (due to the dry weather) was still really cool. A little over 2 miles. Highly recommend Trail 6! Restrooms near parking.

Really good hiking trails but grab yourself a spider-web prevention stick to start it off right! Tons of webs in the path because spiders have no concept of human trails, they don't know! Beautiful scenery

Charlestown SP is probably the nicest and best kept state park campground I have ever stayed at. Paved roads, lush grass, level pads and clean, modern bathrooms. It was 95 degrees every day we were there so we really didn’t sample the hiking trails much. We did Rose Island late one day but that was it. I would definitely stay there again.

DH and I signed up for the Devil's Backbone guided hike at Charlestown SP. This hike is only given in the winter and is closed to the public otherwise. Jeremy, a DNR Naturalist, was our guide, and he was outstanding. The hike itself is quite short and, except for a very short incline, is assessable to most. There are numerous downed trees, roots, and other trail obstacles however which might prove difficult for some. The story of this area is the real reason to go, and Jeremy does a masterful job engaging and drawing one in. That and some stellar views of the Ohio River make this a very fun hike. We finished off our time at CSP by taking a peak at Rose Island and returning via trail 3 which boost some pretty cool cliffs by the river.

While it may not offer the spectacular scenery like Turkey Run or Brown County, it makes up for it in unique history of a former amusem*nt park (Rose Island). The trail to Rose Island is very steep, so make sure you are in good physical condition since it starts downhill and requires the long climb on the way back. But it's well worth the hike and the trails are very well done with information signs that really help you envision what life was like at the park a hundred years ago.

Charleston State Park is a serene retreat for nature lovers like me.The tranquil trails offer scenic views of lush greenery and peaceful waterways, perfect for hiking or a leisurely stroll.The park's well-maintained facilities and picnic areas make it an ideal spot for a family outing or a relaxing day in nature.The serene ambiance and beautiful landscape of Rose Island make it a hidden gem worth exploring!

Loved the Rose Island walk through time, then back to parking lot through trail 3. Trail 7 in the am. Beautiful Limestone Cliffs along the Ohio River, turkeys, beavers, moss.

I stopped here the morning of the solar eclipse and was happy to find they actually still had plenty of eclipse glasses for sale! The staff member was super friendly and helpful. I have not visited the park in awhile, but plan to get some hiking in there very soon!

Cleanest State Park we have visited. Nice maintained trails. Signage was clear, and easy to follow.Rose Island Amusem*nt Park remnants are marked. Flood of 1937 that ended the Amusem*nt Parks existence is marked at various points showing the depth of water.There is a boat launch area.

I had an amazing time hiking here today. We hiked trail 3 to trail 7 (Rose Island loop), and I loved every moment. The history behind Rose Island is so interesting to me. Trail 3 going through the trees is grassy and dirt, stone, natural, up and down, steep and narrow. It is suggested to wear bug repellent, possibly use a walking stick, and be aware of Indiana's natural snake habitat here as we saw at least one black snake on our hike today. Restrooms are pit toilets. Lots of parking. Rose Island is very cool and worth the hike through or along the paved path. The park is leashed dog friendly. There are several picnic tables along the trails.

Love those pink trees in April!!Washrooms and toilets are old but clean and are in the same old brick building which makes it cool and humid... But the park is very clean and nice size lots

I would have loved to have had time to walk the entire place. Amazing resting place! Got to see Muhammad Ali’s grave and Colonel Harlan Sanders graves. Plus tons of other interesting monuments. And a hawk lounging on a nearby tree looking for a snack.

I'll try and write something that hasn't already been said. I visited on Feb. 1, 2022, and the grounds were immaculate - no leaves, no trash anywhere, and there were lots of cemetery workers out doing their jobs, and doing it well! Who would think that even in February a cemetery would be that well maintained. It made for an extra nice visit since I'd never been before. And let me end with the security man who greeted me at the gate, was extremely nice and helpful!

Listen to these reviews - Seriously cool and worthy stop. I can’t adequately express how pretty it is. It has earned its designation as an arboretum. Whether you walk through or drive around this is a free attraction that is as meaningful as it is pretty. You can stop at notable graves or enjoy the flora and architecture. Something for everyone. Make this a several hour stop or drive around to kill some time. It really is worth it and was actually my favorite stop for a brief day and a half trip to Louisville. Grab a map and good luck trying to navigate!

Loved, Loved, Loved!! What a unique cemetery with so much to see and learn. Very different tombstones (tree trunks w/log branches, sculptures, scriptures and not enough time). Would like to come back for the tour. Appreciated the map given by greeter for visitors. The map alone was interesting.

Went to pay our respects to the great Muhammad Ali. We were surprised at how emotional we felt once we saw his final resting place.This cemetery is indescribably beautiful and just as immense. Photos do not do it justice.

This is one of the Louisville's best places to visit. My four year-old daughter asked if we can go back. There are lots of cool markers and statues. It's a great place to meander on a day when the weather is favorable. The roads can be labyrinthian, but Google Maps does a good job of helping you to navigate. I recommend checking out the newer graves (near Ali's site). They are creative, and a lot have pets.

Don't miss this place if you're visiting Louisville for more than a day! Some heavy hitters are at rest here: Muhammad Ali, Colonel Sanders, "Pappy" VanWinkle, and others. The vast grounds are wondrous and serene with gorgeous flowers and plants and peaceful streams.

This is a very neat and historic site. This Cemetery, also called "The City of the Dead" and holds a couple of icons: Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders (KFC) . The map that they have for the grounds is very helpful to find some key sites. In addition to some iconic resting sites, there is a lot of history with the cemetery, like the rustic house and the Civil War soldiers' graves. Throughout the cemetery there are abundant beautiful headstones, landscaping, and more. For someone who enjoys and respects the beauty with death and cemeteries, this is a very nice site.

My 16 year old and I had a great afternoon wondering through the beautiful grounds. The caretaker gave us a map, which was super helpful. It pointed out some special areas and gave info on some key people who remain. We both found it interesting.

Big Cementery with great looking places of rest to some well known Americans (Kentuckianas). Visited Colonel Sanders, Muhammad Ali and other Military Brothers, including Union and Southern Soldiers. Pretty landscape and interesting Statues decorate this graveyard. I was not too impressed to see that Southern Soldiers tombstones were not at par with Union Soldiers.

A very peaceful and relaxing walking trail bridge across the Ohio river and connecting two states.Very beautifully converted 19th century railroad bridge. One will also learn the history along its way.Suitable for all ages and also for physically challenged.An exclusive approach path, a spiraling pathway starting straight from the parking lot is creative and impressive.A nice view of the cities on either side of both the states and of the river is very refreshing.

Absolutely amazing! Walking across the Big Four Bridge is a delightful experience that offers stunning views of the Ohio River and the Louisville skyline. The pedestrian path is wide and well-maintained, making it a great option for walkers, joggers, and cyclists of all ages. At nearly a half-mile long, the bridge provides a good workout while showcasing the city's scenic beauty. Don't forget to check out the vibrant lighting displays that illuminate the bridge at night!

Had seen this bridge from I-65 many times over the years. My wife and I made an 80 mile drive from our Indiana home to check it out. It was well worth it. An easy walking experience and great scenery. People were friendly by saying Hello when you passed. Glad we did it!

One of our favorite places to go. A beautiful bridge with beautiful scenery. The walk from Indiana to Kentucky is not bad at all and is completely worth it. I proposed to my beautiful wife here and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. 10/10 recommend for anyone in the area! It even has a park on both ends for your children to play at.

A great stroll between two states. It is an easy walk from KY to IN. Beautiful place with lots of great views. Benches placed along the bridge for those who need a rest. There are many opportunities for scenic photos. If you have the time, you definitely should try to take a walk across this beautiful bridge! This is an excellent asset for the community and its visitors.

We took our family to do this walk with some friends. We are from out of town, and loved it! Great way to get outside and enjoy the views and get exercise. Best of all, it’s FREE! There’s also an awesome playground on the KY side of the bridge entry. Our kids loved that, too! Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice pedestrian bridge that crosses the Ohio River and has stunning city views. My family and I walked this bridge on a pretty hot day and wished there was at least one spot for a break for some shade, but the shade created by parts of the bridge provided some nice shade with a forgiving breeze. I don't believe pets were allowed on the bridge nor those pay-by-time electric scooters (they shut down on the bridge). I did see a few bicycles on the bridge, so I assume they were allowed. Surprising classical music was playing at one end of the bridge. A nice and cute surprise. If you walk on a hotter day, make to bring water as there were not many options nearby on either end for refreshments. I would like to visit this bridge again at sunset/night for even more spectacular views!

This is the third time, I think, I’ve been up here and it’s amazing every time. The views are great and it’s nice to have something to do in downtown that’s free.Only issue I have is the number of motorized scooters flying through.Oh, and if you go at night, make sure to be careful up against the railing…a lot of spiders hang out there 🤢

We had a great time at the park. The kids loved the splash pad and the play grounds . The Swings for the adults were nice too.

You absolutely need to check this out especially if it's your first time in Louisville. It was well worth the walk across to see beautiful views of the river and downtown. If you walk all the way across you'll find yourself in Indiana which makes for a fun experience in itself. The Indiana side has a bunch of cute restaurants and plaza area to enjoy. The bridge lights up at night for an even more special experience. We spent about an hour here. Heads up though, no pets, no scooters or motorized bikes on the bridge.

So pretty at night and cute simple day or night date night idea. The police are always out and about and great place to have a convo without too many distractions. You get a good view of the city and also a good way to stay social and active. The air also smells better then the air lower in the city lol

Great place for my morning walk. It’s nice watching the sunrise over the Ohio river. It puts things into perspective and starts the day off right . All of the people who use this bridge are pretty friendly and it’s not uncommon to hear a good morning during the walk. The views of the city from hear can’t be beat even with a basic camera you can still get some great shots in. If you are a airplane enthusiast you can get some great pictures of aircraft coming into the city.

I recently walked on the bridge from the Kentucky side to the Indiana side. The bridge is a wonderful way to view the river and both sides of the river including the Louisville skyline and Watefont Park and historic Jeffersonville IN.It is a great way to exercise and enjoy the beauty of nature and the river. There are benches if you want to linger. I walked into Jeffersonville where many shops and restaurants are in close proximity to the ramp that accesses the bridge.A stroll along the river on both sides is a treat also. I highly recommend giving the bridge and the surrounding areas a visit.

So much fun and it is definitely safe. There are officers everywhere; on both the Ky side and Indiana side. It is so beautiful at night and the downtown skyline is awesome. Bathroom doors close at like 9pm so there’s that, but everything else is nice. Check it out.

Super cool place! I have never taken a tram car thru a cavern before. Our guide was great, too. He explained everything in the cavern and how it was created. It was interesting enough down there to keep my 11 month old grandson occupied. I definitely will be back!FYI, I have night vision on my phone. It is a lot darker than it looks...

We had a great time here. We decided on the walking tour, and it was pretty fun. The guide Olivia did a great job. It is a little pricey for what it is, but we are glad we did it. It is so neat down there. It is amazing how large it actually is in person. The entrance is a little weird, and we weren't sure we were in the right place. It is a long hallway that looks abandoned, but eventually opens up to the cave.

According to the owners quote, they "transform it into a holiday light spectacular for the Christmas season. "If you consider displays of Marvel's avengers, Mario brothers, minions, and tanks to be part of the Christmas season, then I guess the quote is right.Only about half of the 15 minute drive through was holiday-themed. It seems like the rest of it was put into place just as a filler.Not to say it wasn't neat, but it's not as neat as they make it.

The Louisville Mega Cavern tour proved to be a regrettable experience, particularly disappointing for several reasons. First and foremost, my visit did not coincide with the Christmas season, meaning that all the festive lights were packed away except for a few stray decorations lingering visibly, adding to the overall dreariness.Furthermore, the cavern itself is not a natural formation, which diminished the excitement right from the start. The tour primarily focused on the cavern's history as a fallout shelter and a storage site for salt, interspersed with some rather dull videos. This narrative did little to enhance the experience, leaving me questioning the value of the tour.The worst part, however, was the environment within the cavern. The air was thick with a dust reminiscent of a construction site, making it uncomfortable and raising concerns about its quality. Throughout the tour, the main sights were abandoned vehicles, sealed-off doors, and a collection of low-quality props—hardly the engaging or educational content one might expect.Spending $20 and an hour of my time in an artificially excavated, dusty cavern observing these lackluster displays was frustrating. With the money and time at hand, almost any other destination would have provided a better experience. This was the first time I truly felt someone dared to charge $20 for a tour of what felt like a vast, polluted parking garage. The disappointment was profound, and I would strongly advise against this tour for anyone looking for a meaningful or enjoyable outing.

The zip line tour is so cool, we’re big zip line fans and doing everything in the dark with bright lights was something new and we had a really good time. The tour guides make you feel confident and safe about the whole experience. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Excellent tour with our tour guide Skeeter. Skeeter did a good job of providing us with laughs while also giving us the history of the caverns.My family and I chose the Tram tour since we have a small child. It is cool in the cavern but not cold. We were fine with a light jacket.It's not really a lot to see if you don't Zipline or do more of the exciting attractions. Kids might get a little bored on the tram.It is a huge place, I think about 17 miles and the tram is about 2 miles long. It's a unique experience and one I'd definitely say to give a try.

We came here to do the Mega Quest aerial adventure course! The guides explained everything well and were friendly and helpful. We felt completely safe and confident in using our gear, the belays are easy and intuitive to use. I liked that it wasn’t a linear course, and you could go through it at your own pace and choose which routes to take. The short zip lines in it were our favorite! You’re also allowed to leave the course at any time to take a break and remove your helmet and gloves, just don’t take off your harness because then you are done. You get two hours on the course which was more than enough time, we even ended up finishing a little early because we were so sore!I recommend short sleeves because you get really sweaty, however personally I’d recommend long pants because with all the ropes on the course, I did get a couple small rope scrapes. Nothing terrible, just keep that in mind!There are lockers to store anything you don’t want to take/wear on the course, but it takes quarters so make sure you bring cash or prepare to use the on site ATM that charges a fee. Make sure to have cash to tip your guides too! They’re working hard for you!We live in Ohio but I’d love to come back some day to try the full zip line course or the tram tour!

I purchased the Mega Tram ticket since I was already doing so much walking on my vacation. I called before hand and was told that the Mega Tram and the Mega Walking tours covered the same route. Our tour guide was great and made jokes along the way. The cavern was a pleasant temperature since I visited on the hottest day of the year. Definitely worth seeing if you want a break from the heat of summer but not what I would consider over the top exciting or a must-see. I like caves and caverns so I enjyed it.

We had a walking tour with Sophia. The tour was informative and interesting. There are a lot of cool facts and funny jokes as you go along.Some cool lights to see as well in the dark.The space could have more cool displays added with time. The adventure gym seems cool and the zip liners seemed to have fun.

Much cooler than I expected! Mega Cavern is an old limestone mine that is massive. It has some interesting history as well once being a fallout shelter. Now it is a driving tour, adventure area, zip line tour, light show and even commercial storage. Worth the visit!

This was an absolutely amazing experience for the whole family. There's a display for everyone. Dinosaurs, Christmas scenes, marvel comics characters, heavy machinery, veterans, Disney and other characters, America/USA, and amazing light shows at several places. Very entertaining and we will definitely be back again. We'll probably take the guided wagon ride through next time just for the better view!

Well worth the cost. Lots to do while waiting. I was disappointed in the gift shop. They seem to have cut back after Covid. Our tour guide was very informative. In the picture of the original caverns look close and see a man standing in the original 60 foot high cavern. They hauled in 40 feet of fill.

So much fun! Everything started on time and we were with a great group. The guides Abby and Bambie so sweet, clear about what was needed for the zip parts and had fun comments to add in. We had a blast.

We did the walking tour and it was pretty cool - the lights make it fun and it’s interesting to hear the history of the cavern. Our guide talked a LOT - could be good for people who enjoy awkward jokes and hearing the same voice non-stop, but it wasn’t for us. Might have been better with a different guide. Entrance is through a long hallway, just keep going even if it feels like you’re not at the right place.

We visited, and went on the walking tour through the Cavern, which is very much worth adding to your list of things to see/do while visiting Louisville. We explored the Cavern with a guide named Sophia, who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. At the end of the tour I asked how many times she had walked the cavern/given the tour. Expecting her answer to be in the hundreds, I was amazed to hear that it was her very first solo tour through the Cavern. She did an absolutely incredible job, and we left with a great bit of interesting information regarding the history of the Cavern, and would absolutely visit again.

More then worth the drive. The kids loved it and it was just enough time spent driving thru before it became too much. Xmas Eve was the right time to go and the price wasn't overpriced by any means. Music and lights were fabulous

A very unique display of lights, nothing compares. If you have your tickets on your phone, there's no reception in the cave at the attendant, so maybe take a picture of it, they do have your name so not a problem

10/10 recommend for families. Eat before you arrive (Wendy’s, coffee shop, and Kroger near entrance). No outside food at cave. No good food options in cave. Bring cash to tip. Buy tickets in advance. Lockers available for $1.

Absolutely loved it. We went on a weekday and got there around 10:30 to 11:00. There was no wait and we drove right in. The beginning was good and it just kept getting better and better as we went through. The finale at the end was the best experience. I highly recommend it for both kids and adults as there's plenty to see for both.

We had a great time with the kids, most of the big cats were hiding or sleeping and that's the only disappointment. Quick and easy to enter the park but food is really pricey so I'd suggest eating before or after you leave the park or leave to eat and re-ennter. Fun day overall.

The zoo was fun. I think they could have spent less on the decorations and put more money in exhibits. There was a lot of spaces with no animals to look at. Although it was crowded, everyone was kind and courteous. Love that they had scooters for people with mobility issues. I wish they stayed open later.

My daughters first trip to the Zoo for her 3rd birthday. We had a blast! I will say there were quite a few exhibits that were closed or looked rough, and we honestly didn't really see all that many animals. Idk if it was the time if day (late afternoon) or just an off weekend but I definitely expected more to be going on with the animals. But they can't be up and out constantly so I think we just caught them at nap time 😊

There were very few people there, so a lot of things were closed. But we had a great time, everything was well maintained, and the staff we saw were very friendly and informative. We were able to walk through an exhibit with loose wallabies, three of which had babies. The giraffes were so beautiful. We saw a baby zebra, a baby elephant, among others. The zoo is working to save endangered species. The lorakeet exhibit was amazing. I had two land on me to drink nectar from my cup. Most animals that were inside to get out of the drizzling rain, we could still see or get glimpses of through the clever viewing angles and variety of viewing spots. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt with the five stars, because I feel that if everything was open the experience would have been even better! We sit at the African Outpost. The food wasn’t amazing, but was much better than I’d expect from a tourist site. They actually had gluten-free buns. We had a burger and fries, and it was certainly better than fast food.

We arrived at opening and enjoyed two hours of exploring with no crowds. This is a fun zoo with lots of interesting animals and creative enclosures. The walk includes inclines and declines but all are easily conquered. There are plenty of food and drink options well dispersed throughout the park. The staff is friendly and helpful.

PARKING: I bought a parking ticket online, and it was easy to find a spot. We didn't have to walk far. They have a parking lot.ADMISSION: I bought the tickets online. I paid around $20 per person (adult). I thought the price was decent. We went on a Friday afternoon, and there was no line to buy tickets. I could've bought the tickets in person.CLEANLINESS: I used the restrooms, and it was clean and had soap and papertowels. toilet paper and dryer. Also, each enclosure and section of the zoo are kept clean.FOOD/DRINKS: They had water stations by the bathroom where you can get filtered water. The alcoholic drinks are priced super high. We got a pink cone with dole ice cream. It was good and pretty for pictures.SHADE: It was hot. Some parts had shade but mostly expect to bring sunscreen, especially if you burn easily. They had buildings with air-conditioning.ANIMALS: I've been to plenty of zoos, and this zoo is the first zoo that I can tell animals are happy. They were active. Their enclosures are very clean. You can tell that they are healthy. I didn't smell any foul smell. Usually, the zoo stinks, but not this one. One orangutan even interacting with us! She was very curious and gave everyone that comes in signal to look inside their bags. Some animals were sleeping, and some were playing. They had things in their enclosure that kept them entertained. We got there around 2 or 3 p.m., and they don't close until 6 pm. But they stop serving food and drinks around 5 pm. I wished we got there in the morning. We didn't get to see everything.TL;DR Admission is decently priced. Animals are active. Plenty of parking. Food and drinks are priced high. They have water stations and the place is clean.

I had a great time at the Louisville Zoo. They have a great variety of animals that they take great care of. I found the Zoo to be very easy to navigate, clean, and packed!It is a great spot to bring children during the summer. There were a decent amount of seating options and benches around the park which I certainly enjoyed on the hot June day I went. Definitely bring a bottle of water and sunscreen if you are going during the hot summer months!

Visited with my daughter and grandsons and it was wonderful! The staff was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. The zoo is laid out well making it possible to visit every exhibit without it being exhausting. Lots of places to sit in the shade and refresh. Kids enjoyed the water park. I will definitely e going back.

I have visited several times and recommended the winter months. Some animals are not on exhibit, but those that are out are more active, and there are fewer crowds at the exhibits.Tips: Take a stroller or wheelchair if anyone in your party has difficulty walking.Free water bottle re-fill stations around the park. There are 2 playgrounds and several places for photos.

I have been going to this zoo for As long as I can remember. It's always been a very clean and friendly zoo. And just a great experience that even now my own kids love. I will say summer months are the best time to go more of the animals are active enduring the winter months a lot of the attractions are closed. But nevertheless, the food is always good in the park is always clean. Can't wait to see what they have in store next

We often pick random things to do in our city or surrounding area. Making memories for our son to remember forever is so important. We hadn't been to the zoo in a while and wanted to check it out before we decided on getting a pass this summer. Despite it being snowy and dead and almost everything closed and many animals put indoors, it was still fun! We can't wait to come back in the summer. You could easily spend an entire day here, and it's great exercise!

To start, this is not Sea World or some other huge corporate entertainment facility. I did not go during peak season and it shows. Many food options were closed, not that I needed them. The good news is that there was no wait to see any of the animals!The educators we spoke to were nice and helpful. Overall, pleased with our experience and look forward to some additional activities they host, like brew at the zoo.

We went to see the lights. The lights were really nice and fun. Definitely need to wait till it's fully dark to enjoy. The only disappointment was that they put away/blocked off the animal exhibits. We thought we would be getting to see the animals while looking at the lights. $20 per person feels like a but much when we couldn't see the animals as well. It was a nice walk though through the lights.

We enjoyed our visit, even though the weather wasn't the best! Most of the animals were out, the walking wasn't too bad, but usually zoos keep some things open when the weather is a little less than, but everything was closed. Everything. We've never seen a zoo so closed off, but this is only our fifth one so maybe it's always that way. We also didn't see a single employee the whole time, except for when we were at the gift shop at the very end, which was surprising, especially given the amount of people we saw and some of the behavior of some. We're going to try to come back on a nicer day to see if maybe our first impression wasn't totally accurate. Worth a visit!

Amazing!! I was surprised to see that many animals in Louisville zoo. Be prepared to walk, walk and walk. They do have a shuttle golf cart and the trail is wheel chair accessible. It’s worth the money and I would visit again. It’s a must see if you have limited time.

The zoo was very well maintained and not too crowded. It was hot, the random misters on the path were a welcomed surprise. My son was thrilled to see both an African Elephant and an Asian Elephant. We went on a Sunday. The zoo had a nice variety of animals to see. Parking was easy once my husband stopped following Google maps instructions that told him to loop the circle a few times.

It was educational as there were staff through the park to talk about certain animals as well as displays.We enjoyed seeing the animals, of course. I didn't like seeing some of the animals without a companion, but that happens sometimes. They are set up for the evening Halloween event, so getting to see the decorations throughout the zoo was nice. Parking was cheaper than I thought it would be. My family had fun visiting.

This zoo has a very good spread of animals that were all very well cared for and easy to see. My family went on an overcast Saturday and got into the zoo with no wait and saw almost all of the animals, save ones not at the zoo entirely.With that being said, this is obviously an old zoo and some parts of the facilities are clearly in need of updates. This does not affect the animals, but the consumer experience. They are clearly aware of these as some parts of the zoo were under renovation.If you do plan to go to the zoo, plan on bringing your own snacks and food. There were places to stop regularly throughout the zoo, but the prices were fairly steep for the items, as to be expected.I recommend ending your visit with a stop at the gift shop. These facilities are incredibly nice and have a wide range of items and prices to offer.All and all a great family or couple experience!

I love it. I had to rent a wheel chair, but i got to sell it all they have an amazing dusk light show.it really must be so spectacular at night time . We were not able to stay.

I took my family over to enjoy the festivities and see all of the wonderful artwork. It was quite chilly that day, but the animals were very active, brilliant . It was the last time we got to see the male orangutan who sadly passed and will be missed dearly.

We went to zoo to see the Lights in Fall 2023. They were awesome and we were still able to see a fee animals too. This exhibit is great for kids of all ages and our college kid loved it too.

Very busy zoo. Get your tickets in advance if you don't want to spend an hour in line. The exhibits were very nice, and the animals were very active. We caught feeding time for the elephants, which even did tricks!

We have moved away and I live in the DC area and am near to •many• zoos.I will say this- the pricing-the parking-the lay out and the enclosures of the Louisville have kept it in the top 5 zoos for me!!They have continued to update enclosures, animal areas, and buildings.The silver back gorillas enclosure is one of a kind!! My kids absolutely love being that close to these animals!The goat petting area is always a hit! MThe elephant area is very neat to visit- the openness of the outside enclose for visitors to see is always a treat!One of my favorite things about this zoo is the seasonal decorations it will have! Such as Chinese new year, Christmas.. etcAnd when they are in season the camel riding is always a treat! (The camel riding is an extra fee)My kids LOVE the carousel at the end!!The splash pad is great during the summer!! (This is free to use!)The educational “shows” are excellent- and while every animal isn’t out all the time that is VERY normal for a zoo! My kids LOVE coming to KY to visit family and go to the zoo!!The gift shop prices are average for animal gift shops- the food prices are average for canteens and restaurants in zoos and aquariums.Because it is Kentucky the layout of the zoo lends itself to the hilly terrain- which is unavoidable. I have walked this zoo pregnant, I’ve also walked it pushing a double stroller while carrying an infant. I have walked it with my grandparents who have both been in wheelchairs- though hilly it is still an easy zoo to walk.We love this zoo and won’t be told otherwise!

Their enclosures need to be reviewed by an inspector because some of them are pretty unsafe for the public. The warthog enclosure is one good push away from having a child inside the enclosure. They have a wonderful bird exhibit. They charge for parking which is absolutely ridiculous considering people are coming to pay for the zoo. So on top of your admission you also have to pay for parking! They find every way to nickle and dime you. If they have a problem with people parking there and then leaving the property, then a quick tow truck call can fix that right up! We are active duty military and we had to pay 48 for a family of 3. Their price online says admission is $10 a person, but we very quickly found out that was a lie. We were told military get in free but that didn't happen for us. This is a big zoo and none of the outdoor vendor spots were open to sell hot cocoa or any food. The gift shop was highly overpriced. I just don't feel like this zoo really invests their money into their animals. It is clear the donors are the ones really paying for the upkeep of these animals.
